I think both Lighght and Sonderlust by Kishi Bashi should get a mention.
Atlas by Parkway Drive.
AM by Arctic Monkeys
Right thoughts, right words, right actions by Franz Ferdinand.
Magma by Gojira.
Just off the top of my head.

I see Colin Stetson and I'm like, whoa, cool, same name as the dude from the Zombies No, that's Colin Blunstone. It's Friday, my brain is a little fried.

My favorite albums of the 2010s
Good list, tough I don’t really listen to hip hop. My only two additions would be:
Beck - Colors
Deer Hoof - the Magic
-
For some of the artists on your lists, I’d maybe choose different albums of theirs, but I’m not gonna complain. A few that would’ve made my list:
- Fleet Foxes - Helplessness Blues
- Dirt Projectors - Swing Lo Magellan
- Neko Case - The Worse Things Get...
- Broken Social Scene - Forgiveness Rick Record
- Real Estate - Days
- Tennis - Young & Old
- Beach House - Teen Dream
- Feist - Metals
Hard to pick any one New Pornographers album, but you could make a helluva Best Of album from their albums this decade.
-
I'd add "Leon Bridges: Coming Home" (2015) album. Fantastic from start to finish.
Headlined by "Smooth Sailin" and backed up by "Better Man", and "Coming Home".
And yes, apparently I'm 32 going on 70.

This is a good list, and a few new ideas to check out. A few other I personally enjoyed:
Royal Blood, Royal Blood
Gary Clark, Jr., Blak and Blu
Arctic Monkeys, AM
Death From Above 1979, The Physical World
Jason Isbell, The Nashville Sound
Nathaniel Rateliff, Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats
Future Islands, Singles
Vulfpeck, The Beautiful Game
The Marcus King Band, Carolina Confessions
Vic Mensa, The Autobiography
RTJ, Run the Jewels / Run the Jewels 2

Dickie Hemric
...off the top of my head, sort of.
Sandro Perri - Impossible Spaces
Midlake - The Courage of Others
Field Music - Measure
School of Language - Old Fears
Purple Mountains - Purple Mountains
Cass McCombs - Tip of the Sphere
Jessica Pratt - Quiet Signs
Nathan Salsburg - Third
Richard Thompson - 13 Rivers
The Clientele - Music For The Age Of Miracles
Whitney - Forever Turned Around
Gunn-Truscinski Duo - Bay Head
KING - We Are KING
Daniel Bachman - Seven Pines
Paul Smith & Peter Brewis - Frozen By Sight
and some of those already mentioned. And I'm missing a bunch, I'm sure. My list is very white male heavy. That KING record is fantastic though.
I think I may have listened to less contemporary music in the last decade than ever before.
Good list, Townie, thanks for sharing!

Super lame that ATCQ - We Got It from Here... Thank You 4 Your Service wasn’t nominated for a Grammy but at least they gave a killer performance.
Random Access Memories is very deserving of the top spot. I wish they’d make more music but it makes you appreciate it more when they do.

Don’t think their albums belong on this list but Todd Terje - Inspector Norse, Unknown Mortal Orchestra - Everyone Acts Crazy Nowadays and Amtrac - Madness to Mayhem were my top 3 played songs this decade
-
My list would have to include:
John Moreland - In the Throes 2013. Best song-writing outside maybe Jason Isbell IMO.

It's not technically an album, I guess, but Erykah Badu's But You Caint Use My Phone is high on my list for the decade
