Republican Voter Suppression Efforts

Good thread about how Republican voter suppression and provisional ballots account for gaps between exit polling and official results.

 
 
in response to the CNN article yesterday, the County Elections board in our county (Cumberland, PA) put out a shitty press release defending their choice but today they're now holding a special public meeting to discuss the delay in mail ballot counts. Dickinson college volunteered large open spaces in campus buildings to facilitate timely counting (carlisle is the county seat)
 
Seems like it backfired if the early voting vote is going to equal the previous elections vote total.

After sitting through a four hour commissioners meeting, the board voted 2-1 to stick with their plan of not even touching mail-in ballots until the morning of the 4th. And then they're only giving daily updates - so one of the swing counties of PA won't see a blue shift until Thursday. That's assuming Trump doesn't follow through on his threats and/or SCOTUS decides to take up the PA case they punted on.
