Republican Voter Suppression Efforts

Of course it is blatant discrimination, and in NC a few years ago a federal court agreed and said that the GOP NC state legislature had targeted black voters with "laser-like" precision. The question is whether the Supreme Court and its new GOP supermajority agrees. If it doesn't - and it's unlikely that they will - then it doesn't matter, as this type of discrimination will be allowed everywhere that the GOP controls the state legislature or state government. Given that Trump lost Georgia, Arizona, and Wisconsin by a tiny fraction of votes, it's likely that the severe cutbacks to early voting, write-in voting, and other procedures would have given those three states to Trump in last year's election. A chilling thought for Democrats for 2024, and for all congressional and statewide elections going forward.

I don’t remember a Canadian devil in South Park.

(South Park 1 hour vaccine special drops tonight)

Since mail-in votes are so corrupt, why has Trump asked for one for a local election in FL?

Probably because it would benefit the Republicans, or hurt Democrats. The new GOP definition of vote fraud/abuse is "does this make it easier for all eligible citizens to vote? Then it's bad news for us and we're against it."

Fixed it for you.

If I remember my history correctly, a good many segregationists back in the day claimed that eliminating minorities from voting would "improve the quality" of the voting pool as well, so things like poll taxes and literacy tests were actually improving the the quality of the electorate. They really are a back to the future kind of party. Given the texts, social media posts, and statements from a good many Trumpites over the past four years, it's rich arguing that Republicans are somehow better-informed on the issues. LOL.

They really don’t have any new ideas. They keep dusting off the old playbook.

OK, Manchin and Sinema get off your asses and allow filibuster to be changed for the VRA!!!!

Democrats value enfranchisement while Pubs value disenfranchisement. It's disgusting how people still say "bOtH sIdEs".

It's weird to be from Georgia, remembering all these laws that Republicans passed to make sure the impressionable scared senior citizen class could vote remotely so they wouldn't lose every election if it rained on election night - and now watching Republicans vote out all their own laws labeling them evil Democratic schemes.

The funniest part of it is disenfranchised GA voters figured out that if they just show up and outwork the Republicans, they can win statewide elections.
