What are your top 3 Beatles songs?

Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown)
While My Guitar Gently Weeps
For No one

Eleanor Rigby holds a special place in my memory. For an undergrad English final (not at Wake) we had to memorize a poem of our choice of at least 30 lines from the textbook. The lyrics to the song were toward the back of the book. That's the only exam question I ever sang (silently, of course) while writing the answer. Otherwise, I'm not a Beetles fan.

Band on the run was The Beatles? I’m thinking McCartney/Wings?

Anyhow, I can’t pick three favorites.

For some reason, first three to come to mind were

Hey Jude
Fool on the Hill
Eleanor Rigby

All 3 of my choices were solo Beatles.

Something
While My Guitar Gently Weeps
A Day in the Life

Best solo songs:
What is Life?
Watching the Wheels
Photograph
Live and Let Die

It’s not one song but the Abbey Road medley starting with You Never Give Me Your Money is my favorite “song” since I always listen to the full thing

Yeah, that's a good medley. My favorite album was the White Album, which has a lot of good but less famous songs. Tough to choose, but

Revolution - the slower acoustic version
Happiness Is a Warm Gun
While My Guitar Gently Weeps - even better with Prince playing the guitar solo playing with Jeff Lynne

For some reason I misread the title and thought it said "top 3 Battle songs"

Could lead to an interesting alternative thread lol.

Hey Jude
Let it Be
We Can Work It Out

There's no real drop-off from those to the next four.

Ticket to Ride
Yesterday
In My Life
Something

I always forget about Across the Universe. Very underrated.

I think Let It Be is one of the most overrated Beatles songs which should apparently go on the unpopular opinions thread.

Let It Be

Ask me again in five minutes and you'll probably get a different list.

Yep. That and Don't Let me Down. This thread inspired some Beatles listening with the kids last night, because I realized we don't play them enough. So, thank you, thread starter. Still love Something, Day in the Life and Golden Slumbers through the End

"I've Just Seen a Face" is about as good a 2 minutes of pure pop as it gets.
