My office building gave out red velvet with frosting heart-shaped cookies, and I snagged 3 total, so all set for the wife tonight.

hopefully for you her work gave out in and out burgers

Remember when the thought of someone stealing your car stereo was actually a legitimate fear?

Related but it seems like the whole after market car audio industry is practically dead.

When you talk about car audio, I thought of the 80s version of car alarms. The most famous of which were likely the Darrell Issa ones that yelled at you, "Get away from the car" and other things.

A dear friend of 1976 and mine was getting married in Westwood/Beverly Hills. During the ceremony, I'd guess about ten cars got broken into one after an another. We kept hearing the sirens and Darrell Issa's voice. It was pretty funny.

Someone rear ends you, car is in the shop for a couple weeks and then they drop your car at your place via a tow truck, do you tip the driver ?

Meh. In N Out is overrated.
Pretty basic ass hamburgers with pedestrian toppings served up with the retro-'50s Boomer porn uniforms and paper hats. The only thing that makes them "popular" is the so-called 'animal style' and their "secret menu" that everyone knows about already.

In N Out is just a regional Wendy's.
If you're in NorCal, go to fucking Giants.

Remember when the whole Fast and Furious series kicked off with stealing DVD players.

Car audio has become totally integrated into the touch screen control system with the A/C system, navigation, etc. that there isn't a separate, replaceable audio device.

Also, auto manufacturers have considerably upgraded the audio they offer. High end audio is available as a factory option, or maybe even standard.

I opened Instagram this morning to find a picture of my high school buddy at Universal Studios in a pair of camo cargo shorts, cutoff t-shirt and MAGA and nothing sums up the Western NC experience quite as succinctly as that image.

Take it to the unpopular opinions thread, dink.

This is mostly for my boi juice who was founding member of #teamoptionb but for those that don’t know or remember three years ago I was surprisingly laid off after a really good 12 year career in banking. I had two options immediately available- one in banking and the other at a just-past-startup software company. Ended up going the software route despite having zero software experience. Well this week I won our company’s award for top consultant and received a chance to build my own new team to go after a new line of business for the company. The job has taken me all over the country and I legit love what I do.

That’s it, just a straight brag but dammit I’m pumped.

I made a decision to go with the less "safe" choice 17 years ago and it is the best decision i ever made.

Anything that gets someone out of Greensboro is to be celebrated.

I was a bit worried that you would hurt yourself by not realizing your lifelong dream of becoming a banker

I presume you used RJ as a reference?

Yo RJ, I'd like to come by and get my stuff out of your garage. Let me know when is convenient.

I learned I like banking but don’t like working for a bank.

Also I’m probably one of <5 posters to have met #palmawife due to my career change.

I wonder what guitardeac does for a living.
