Should not have checked this thread, looking back through my orders feels like I am addicted to Amazon - had more orders in 2019 then I did for every year before 2014 combined. 136 orders - really need to get out more.

There is one like 10 blocks away from me - I go occasionally, they have good stuff around the holidays and good prices on off brand phone and computer charging cords.

Financial Accounting by Robert Libby - must have been for my MBA classes.

ETA - we finally signed up for the Amazon Prime credit card. It's a no brainer if you spend as much $$$ on Amazon as my wife does. 5% back on all Amazon and Whole Foods purchases and no annual fee.

I resisted using Amazon for a long time.

My wife opened an account in 2007 and ordered a few books.

Nothing in 2008.

A few small items in 2009.

Nothing in 2010.

Etc.

Looks like probably the first time I used her account to order something was March 2012—some Dr. Scholl’s odor fighting insoles. Probably because I’d gone to purchase somewhere and they were out so I got frustrated and decided to try this Amazon thing.

Then in May 2012 I ordered some pens and a remote outdoor temperature sensor.

We slowly adopted using Amazon subsequently until 2018 and now we place about a hundred orders a year.
 
OK palma, what was your first order from the Silk Road marketplace?
 
And my second purchase was the movie Alex Dziena got naked in front of Bill Murray. Didn’t use amazon again for like another 7 years.
