Somebody posted a comparison to some European countries that showed the US would have to more than double their tax revenues to meet the same level of taxation

I don’t think I insulted you. I’m also not the one to answer that question. I prefer mostly to read this thread to learn. I just think this thread and any thread is better when on topic.

Missed most of the debate because of a basketball game. I think Warren should have spent more time on the point she was making about Bloomberg being able to grant a blanket release of NDAs by himself, rather than trying to personalize the "Kill it" story. Bloomberg is still telling people that he's released them, but the people have to call his office to do so.
 
These candidates suck. Biden did okay tonight.

Warren needs to GTFO. Attacking Blooomberg every week is not presidential.

My bad, I have to goosestep to everyone's opinions.

I brought up how unrealistic Bernie's concepts are without making it personal to anyone. Because I am not a lemming, they took shots at me. Then, they cried for getting treated the way they treated me.

Of course, it's easier to take a swipe at me than it is to answer how it is possible to implement programs that will double the total budget of our government.

It's easier to take a swipe at me than to explain how the taxes proposed would come close to paying for it. In fact, the taxes would have to be equal to all taxes paid to be short of paying for his plans by $1-2T/year.

Rather than discussing these issues, you guys want to blame me for bringing up substance rather than riding unicorns to the end of a rainbow.

It is great. And I think Bernie has a great shot vs Trump if for no other reason the people would prefer Larry David impersonating Bernie opposed to Baldwin's Trump for another 4 years. That's enough for 1% in PA, WI and MI. We're that dumb. Bernie's also authentic, and that is all you need to beat Trump, even if he is a socialist. Obviously people don't care about things like socialism.

 
These debates are embarrassing. All this arguing about plans, policy, the merits of NDAs in sexual harassment complaints, and universal healthcare. Democrats are tripping all over themselves, and it’s almost Super Tuesday. 4 years ago, Republicans were coalescing around a real message of hope presented on the debate stage. Let’s take a look back at how things should be at this point, shall we?

Didn't think Warren had a very good strategy last night. She had a lot of momentum after a great debate last week. I think she should've focused less on attacking Bloomberg this week and more on presenting herself as a leading candidate somewhere between Bernie and Pete/Biden. Last night she came across more like Bernie's attack dog who goes after Bloomberg while he leads the movement. Unfortunately I don't think she did much to take any progressives away from Bernie or any centrists away from Biden or Pete.

Biden seemed to have more energy again. Pete is getting annoying and stale. Amy and Steyer need to drop out asap.

If Biden does well in SC and carries momentum into Tuesday, I think it'll effectively be a 3 horse race between Bernie, Biden, and Bloomberg by the end of next week (although some of the other horses will continue to run for a while)
 
Warren’s major “issue” is that she can’t really attack Bernie on substance because they share a lot of ideas and she isn’t going to be able to delineate the differences between her regulated capitalism and Bernie’s democratic socialism in a minute and fifteen seconds.

The DNC needs to minimize debate size by saying “top five in polling” make next debate and then quickly get it down to three. Seven is unwieldy especially when run by incompetent moderators like last night was.
