WF Basketball Transfers (In & Out): Jalen Johnson (UT) IN !!!!!!!!!

Great news for Sarr. Wish him well. Glad his leaving, in part, helped open up the possibility of landing a coach that players like Sarr will want to stay and play for in the future.

Chaundee Brown granted a waiver and will play this season @ Michigan. Curious as to how that's possible? Didn't he announce his transfer before Manning was fired?

If you follow the career of former Deacon basketball players here is where they are playing this year.

Richard Washington is at San Jose State.
Melo Eggleston is at Bryant.
DJ (Donovan) Mitchell is Santa Clara.
Michael Wynn is at Akron.
Sharone Wright Jr. is at Morgan State.
Chaundee Brown is at Michigan.
Olivier Sarr is at Kentucky.

Jamie Lewis was last seen playing at a D2 school. Sam Japhet-Mathias is an unknown. He is not on the San Jose State roster.

I forgot about Dick Wash. Man, that list is just horrible, aside from Brown and Sarr. I'm thinking the days of taking risks on a bunch of low 3 star and 2 star guys are over.

Yes, that list is pretty sorry. FWIW, Dick Wash has actually become a solid player on a crappy team. He was their 2nd leading scorer and had some big games last year for SJ State. 31 points and 9 boards at Air Force, 25 points against New Mexico; 23 against Hofstra (who was an NCAA team). He shot 34% from 3.

Donovan Mitchell also averaged double digits for Santa Clara and shot 38% from 3.

Both Wash and Mitchell are decent college players, but not ACC caliber players.
