NFL 2020-2021 Season Superbowl LV: Tampa Bay Buccaneers, QB Tom Brady Champs!

CEH got stuffed twice in a row around the goal line last night. dunno if they were just seeing what they had in him or think he is actually a goal line threat, but didn't work.

coulda used that second Johnson TD last night instead of the Watson rushing since I was playing against him.

The coronavirus most recent testing results for the NFL are pretty remarkable, given the nature of the sport, the number of players on every roster and how easy it is to become infected:

17,519 tests for 2,641 players, one positive
26,991 tests for 5,708 personnel, seven positives
44,510 total tests for 8,349 players and team personnel, eight total positives (.000179 positive rate)

Apparently, when protocols are followed, football can be safely played (or at least so far): https://twitter.com/NFL345/status/1303394769952010240

This speaks to the level of discipline possible. Particularly when jobs and potentially careers are on the line. Simply not doing stupid things goes a long way to staying safe and healthy.

Yeah. They don't get enough respect for being professionals.

We're asking a lot of 18-35 year olds in this moment. They should be just living their lives instead of putting their social lives on hold and leading social movements.

I'm generally behind this "Go for it on 4th down" trend, but Philly just had a bad one. 4th and 4 near midfield, starting RT had just left with an injury to be replaced by a 3rd stringer, and Wentz promptly takes a big sack.

ETA: Washington really hasn't had much in the way of long drives this game, and Philly is up by a FG.

What is up with Fox's giant "Touchdown" announcement that takes up half the screen?

Philip Rivers: new team, yet still always down a score late in the 4th quarter

I don’t think the Panthers picked up that 4th down, but it’s ridiculous that in 2020 we are still determining crucial spots by having refs eyeball it instead of some tech solution

It's bad. Just unnecessary.

Georgia RB D'Andre Swift blows the game for the Lions.

He tried to tuck the ball and run when he just needed to catch it and fall into the endzone.

Raheem Mostert caught a 76 yd TD, beating former Clemson Tiger Isaiah Simmons. Announcers response: "This is the NFL, not Wake Forest".

Rams uniforms are absolutely disgusting.

It looks like they had plain white pants and an equipment manager added some yellow tape at the last minute.

Is there anything worse than football-related tweets with the guy blowing steam(?) emoji?
