NFL 2020-2021 Season Superbowl LV: Tampa Bay Buccaneers, QB Tom Brady Champs!

Bengals have a long history of being cheap. Jessie may have to go elsewhere to get paid. The way he has been playing, he won't lack for offers when he hits free agency.

Bates really is the man. Even early in his time here he was just always around the football. One of the most natural players I’ve seen.

That's a lotta coin

Gotta say Dak won those negotiations even tho it's apparently a 6 year deal, the last two are somewhat optional or something

Dak's deal appears to be structured so that both sides can say they got the length of deal they wanted. Dak wanted four years. Check. Cowboys wanted longer. Check. Deal is theoretically for six years. Cowboys management just won't mention that those last two years are voidable.

Dak gets paid. Especially in cash this coming season.

And the Cowboys won’t win a playoff game in the next 4 years. So pretty much like every other year in the last 25 years.****

**** 3 playoff wins since 1997. Or 4 since 1996, if you want to be more generous

Maybe Dak’s agent came up with a solution that allows Jerry and Stephen Jones to save face so that each side looks like they’re totally satisfied. If so he earned his commission.

Now we await franchise tags.

With the TV deals coming up, the cap is about to get a lot bigger.

Clearly what the Cowboys front office is banking on

They didn't pull the trigger until they knew what the minimum cap would be for this upcoming season.

The bigger cap helps all teams and players looking to get signed. It just makes players more expensive. It won't help Dallas sign more players, or better players.

sounds like the Pats are keeping Cam for another year

Makes sense for $14mil. Maybe his shoulder improves a bit and he plays more like he did pre-covid last year. NYJ aren't going to trade you Darnold, and it's not like the Red Rifle is your QB of the future at a likely steeper price. But I take this as Belichick is drafting a QB now, and he may have to move up to do it. I'm guessing they have someone at Lance's pro day today. So it's either Lance or Jones in round 1 or a day 2 guy like Mond or Mills.
