Former Wake Forest football player, Senator Richard Burr

I dont understand why Richard didnt just smash his phone when the FBI pulled up and Bleach Bit all his other laptops. He could always say, "While it may not have been wise, it certainly was not anything intentionally illegal." (The great James Comey).
 
Burr just wants the same treatment UNC got from the NCAA, hence the mask.
