2020 Presidential Election: Biden v. Trump

Does anyone actually read those terrible reff pots of shit he copies from email forwards?

I tried. I was impressed with how many words he was able to use without ever tripping into an intelligent argument.
Old rubes like him are definitely an argument for opening things back up.

He called a professional, adult woman a girl. Clueless. F him and his racist and sexist protection of "his team."

That poll is as much about name recognition as anything else.

Two thoughts come to mind:
61% is not an overwhelming majority, and that number should be 100% regardless of the vp choice.

In that scenario, the results of the poll would be 0% "more likely". Maybe that's what accounts for the other 30%?

Yet another name recognition survey. People are going to get an immediate crash course on whoever the VP is to the point that she will have near 100% recognition within two weeks of being nominated. And then the VP is going to get plenty of experience being VP to prepare them to be President if necessary.

The big concerns people have will be mediated by time. Biden should just pick who he is comfortable with who will help him win and govern.

So it turns out that basing your campaign on a booming economy and stock market that aren't booming anymore, failing to show any empathy for the victims of the pandemic, turning your press briefings into a bizarre reality-tv show wherein you ridicule reporters asking legit questions and make stupid statements on things you clearly know nothing about, and spend more time attacking your critics than actually discussing your administration's response to the pandemic, and showing incompetent and pass-the-buck leadership during the crisis, will lead to a significant drop in the polls and put your presidential campaign on the defensive. Who could have guessed?

ETA: It really says something about Trump's handling of all this that Biden has been nearly invisible for the past month yet has actually gained in the polls, including key battleground states.
