Flynn Case Dropped/Indictments on the Way

Trump had his AG Barr drop the charges for a convicted Trump crony, Michael Flynn. Probably so he didn't have to pardon him. It is an egregious abuse of power, especially considering that Flynn pled guilty to several different acts of criminal wrongdoing.

However Trump's base, made up of racist/sexist pieces of shit and wannabe used-car salesmen, are trying to pretend that it was a just thing to do. And that somehow the people responsible for questioning Flynn are the real criminals, when it is obvious Trump and his team we're in collusion with foreign nations in an attempt to subvert our election process.

I cannot wait for these old "Conservatives" (lol, there is nothing politically conservative about the GOP today outside of old school bigotry) to die out. Fucking leeches and parasites who've done nothing for this country besides start failed wars and rack up trillions in debt. Jesus Christ wouldn't associate with any of these scumbags.

This chapter in the unfolding "conservative" tragicomedy seems about as credible as OJ's search for the "real" killer.
 
I’m going to encourage all my friends who are public defenders to use that line when trying to talk their way out of bad guilty pleas from their clients. I’m sure it’ll work just as well when made by poor people of color on low level drug offenses as it did when made by Flynn.

There are a lot of funny posts on this thread, like NED's post owning the OP, but, this post is the best because Reff implies Politico agrees with his copied/pasted fox news conspiracy theory as evidence of something, but it's actually just a Trump quote in a Politico article as others have pointed out. Only in Trumpworld would the people who investigated the case and found lots of incriminating evidence (leading to numerous indictments and convictions) be the ones under suspicion and viewed as the villains, while the actual criminals like Flynn - who admitted that he lied to FBI investigators and pled guilty not once but twice - are actually seen as persecuted heroes. It's like Bizarro World.
 
We wanted some reasonable viewpoints from the right to balance discussion. All they want to do is arrest their political opponents for treason.
 
I would just settle for disagreement on a couple policies or stances Donald and his Washington sycophants parrot regularly. As in there are plenty of people who think Obama’s foreign policies and immigration stances sucked. Almost everyone on the left has criticisms about Hillary. You hardly ever hear the right say “well this is a bad idea” about anything donald and this administration does. It’s blind loyalty.

It is blind loyalty, and it is such a strange and foreign approach to me. Why would one blindly follow anyone, especially someone they do not know personally? And why do these hard-core Trump supporters all write things like "OBummer" and "drain the swamp?"
Their communication approach is so odd.
 
They don’t stand for anything. They’re only against Democrats. That’s why Trump can say something one day and Republicans defend him. Then everybody who isn’t for Trump hates it and Trump back down but Republicans don’t criticize him for it.

You’re on a thread defending a guy who admitted to lying to the FBI TWICE and calling people “idiot libs lover of lies”. You might want to step back from the keyboard and take a long introspective look at your values system ref. Somewhere along the way you started to tolerate some pretty shitty behavior from others and yourself. At the end of the day, you are what you tolerate.
 
This is the distinction between the left and the right.

The left’s victim of the week is a Armaud Arbery, a black man who went out for a run who was confronted and killed by two white men. Those white men were only arrested because the third man who took the video showed it around enough that it eventually went public.

The right’s victim of the week is Michael Flynn, a white man who lied to the FBI twice among many other things.
