ACC schools bringing back some student/athletes June 1

More at risk would be severe illness or death to faculty, staff, coaches over the age of 50.

State announces they are bringing back athletes and coaches as Wake falls further behind.

While it may not be official, some football guys are back. I've seen a couple in the dash this week, responsibly wearing their masks in public. The sky is falling and Wake is falling behind rhetoric is a little ridiculous.

There's a difference between being in the Dash and going to Krispy Kreme for Donuts versus being able to use the million dollar facilities on campus which is not allowed. Glad Currie did explain the plan a little better on Monday.

How many other ACC programs have brought athletes back or announced a firm return date?

You think there is someone there monitoring the gym and stopping people from working out?

Well, FSU football players are back, but they are not participating in workouts.

Really bad start for Mike Norvell at FSU to have his best football player, Marvin Wilson, hang the label "liar" on the coach, after Norvell claimed he met with each of his players to discuss the death of George Floyd and the resulting national unrest. Guessing that this eventually gets resolved, but man, things are just a disaster in Tallahassee right now and seem to be getting worse: https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/29265754/florida-state-marvin-wilson-disputes-coach-mike-norvell-reached-individually-george-floyd-death

What a cluster for sure. Obviously a completely idiotic move and then your best player just publicly ends the new coach and says on behalf of the whole team that they aren’t going to practice. Agree with Pilch that they likely get this sorted but it could escalate quickly.

People have been saying for awhile that the one thing that unlock a range of social and educational issues is if NCAA football players refused to play.

But if they didn’t play, would they still get paid?

Don't play. It will take the next year to fill your spot since scholarships are one year deals. There is no need to be Curt Flood.

Except obviously if we aren't bringing back all our students, then don't come back either.
