Dude. Seriously. If Bernie had won, you would have been pissed if he had attempted any form of compromise.

We see through your hypocrisy. You don’t want to compromise. That’s fine. Whatever. But don’t claim they didn’t compromise when they actually did because it didn’t end up with what you wanted.

You realize that people aren't asking for your default position to be "we need to compromise," just that when you clearly are not going to get 100% of every minute detail you want on every policy goal, you still come to the table and negotiate wiggle room on both sides. Also willingness to compromise from the other side is itself a sign of respect in that they are acknowledging that your side makes valid points and that moving closer toward your positions is a worthy effort. All of your hangups are you problems, not others' problems.
 
I assume AOC's one minute bs "speech" is because the DNC are scared of fox news playing clips to their snowflake viewers. See Biden loves AOC and is therefore a scary socialist! Ridiculous thing to be scared of. As others have pointed out they should showcase their up and comers and the gop will attack anything the dems say or do and spin it as socialism. Just put her up there to bring the heat and the excitement.
 
The inability to compromise also is the most elitist thing you can do, you are essentially saying that you and only you have the solution, nobody else matters, and you know whats best for all.

Nothing that Biden or Bernie or anyone else has done has been "my" compromise, and there's literally no reason for me to express appreciation or approval of it - especially when that compromise is held over my head every time I make a lazy general complaint. My "hang ups" are millions of other peoples problems. I'm absolutely annoying as shit, but I try to represent people and viewpoints who are notably absent from a board of white collar 40-something Wake grads.

I pretty much skip over what ChrisL posts, its pretty much the same old same old so there is no point in reading it. Its the same as the Trump own the libs suck it mentality but in this case its own the progressives suck it.

Well if that's the case than "you" don't have to compromise but then whatever "you" are representing is insignificant with regards to what is happening in Democratic/progressive politics right now as we approach November. You can't get a much broader spectrum of liberal views than the moderate Biden to the socialist Bernie so I don't know where you want to be on the spectrum to feel like you're not being included here, but again that is a you problem. I applaud your desire to represent people and viewpoints that are not present on the boards but that is still a very small area you're trying to occupy and then complain from.

Well, your idea of compromise is clearly getting exactly what you want. And the nominee's idea of compromise (and a much more realistic one) is that he will make some policy concessions to the camp of the 2nd place finisher.

lol, I do appreciate what you're saying - it's a fresher commentary on the topic. What confuses me, honestly is the perspective taking of political commentary. When people tell me "You have to compromise!", what does that literally mean? Is that strictly about voting? I compromise everyday from the time I wakeup to when I go to sleep regarding my own life, but I have no direct participation in political decision making, so what am I being asked to compromise and why? As it relates to Biden, Bernie, Trump, all of us here are just bystanders. We're not "In the room where it happens", so...who are we compromising with? Ourselves?
