Black on Jewish hatred

Don't forget about the rationalizations - Always a plethora of rationalizations when it cuts against the narrative!!!

What are the odds a white celebrity would get away with calling another race "savages", "barbarians" or "closer to animals"?

It is interesting to me to observe that situations like this are when some republicans are compelled to demand equal treatment for whites and blacks. They don’t seem to show up any other day of the week.

I guess I didn’t realize Jackson got a whole lot of support. I saw a couple other famous black people comment about it in a relatively positive manner but other than that I’d say my social media feeds were 99 percent people saying “lol wtf man”

Not going to try to figure out what catamount is saying.

My problem with dismissing this incident as "Jackson was just being an idiot" is that he got an uncomfortable amount of support after his post. If everyone had come out like Kareem did and criticize the anti-Semitism, then I think it could be just "he was being an idiot." But given the support he got, I think we have to grapple with the "why" of that support, instead of just the "why" of him posting it.

Idiots supporting idiots.

"Charlamagne Tha God Doubles Down" on Nick Cannon

https://www.newsweek.com/nick-cannon-ashamed-anti-semitism-charlamagne-tha-god-1518209

"Listen, Nick is my guy. I hate it had to be him, but that's what you can do when you have the power," he said. "And if there's one thing Jewish people have showed us, it's they have the power. I can't wait until the day black people are able to fire people for saying things about us that we deem racist. We can barely get cops fired for actually killing us!"

The Anti-Defamation League states that claims that Jewish people control the media have been pushed for decades.

McKelvey added: "We all have freedom of speech, but we're not free of the consequences of that speech."

BTW, Fox accepted Cannon's apology and he will continue as host of The Masked Singer which is the best show on TV.

i saw someone once call charlamagne the black joe rogan and it's perfect

It has been a huge thing for decades, especially in Brooklyn. Look up the Crown Heights riots and Yankel Rosenbaum. That shit went on for years, and is what gave Al Sharpton tenure as national idiot.

I read Fires in the Mirror at Wake and need to revisit it -- my first real exposure to the Black-Jewish tension in Brooklyn

in planning school, there were lots of fascinating case studies about policy and Orthodox Judaism

“Black on Jewish hatred” is Black wariness of white people in power with an anti-Semitic twist.

b. I didn't mean to start a shitstorm. The words of a few don't reflect the many. That's why I put Kareem first.

Blacks and Jews have been discriminated against Yet there still seems to be a lingering minority view of animosity.

I still have nothing but disgust for the socalist movement and the blacks are the real Hebrews. But this got way out of hand quickly.

I understand there was once very serious belief that Native Americans were actually a lost tribe of Israel.

Anti-Semitism knows no bounds!

I may be trying to decipher this for many years to come

Why? Antisocialist. Posted a real question that went horribly wrong.

Say more about “the Blacks are the real Hebrews”

This. It's just like the Omar stuff. Real or exaggerated claims of anti-semitism are both just a trojan horse for conservatives to pull out the "See? They're racist too!" card they love so much.

Yes, it will be very interesting to see how Omar polls in St. Louis Park during the upcoming primary. One of the most democratic suburban towns in America with a sizable Jewish population. Hint, she will do very poorly there. And it goes beyond her very public statements while in Congress.

I still expect her to win the primary, but she is getting some real pushback and her opponent. Sort of surprised to read all these comments in the Strib (a very liberal paper for a very liberal town) that are against her. The primary is open, so anyone can cross over and vote on the democratic side, but we're talking a district that is 80%+ registered democratic. There are sizable Somali and Jewish populations in the district. I do see a very sizable lead in yard litter for her opponent and that is across all parts of the district. Some of that likely is just about organization. In the mail she has a slightly larger presence and we are getting more video feed from her than from him. The fact she has funneled over $1M in campaign contributions to her husband's consulting firm over the last couple of years has definitely struck a nerve with many here too.

FEC doesn’t have a problem with it. Her fundraising model (like AOC’s) also means she’s not beholden to donor call time taking up 50% of her daily schedule too, so she’s able to spend that time working on legislation and local action. I feel like this comes up a lot with you DeacMan, but I’ve never seen you weigh in with your thoughts?
