Wait, why aren't we allowed to shame sex workers ? I don't understand.

Does anyone encourage their daughter to be a whore and tell everyone around town about her great new career ?

"Yeah, she's doing great. She started out with an escort service, but she built her own client base and took a lot of clients with her when she went out on her own. She charges a lot for standard screwing and blowjobs and then gets a bonus for butt stuff. I'm really proud of her !"

Yet, we sit around and talk shit about lawyers all day.

Society considers lawyers a respectable form of whores and we shame sex workers. Yet we hate politicians and legalism and love sex. It doesn’t make sense.

This whole Boebert deal is another example of how Republicans establish their own narrative without really being challenged by the facts. She’s presented as a small business owner and gun enthusiast from Rifle, CO. Simple American story. Mrs. Smith goes to Washington.

Boebert started dating her husband after the incident where he showed his penis to girls at a bowling alley. He was 24. She was 17. Later that year, he was convicted for physically abusing her. She was likely pregnant during the abuse. She’s a victim of child physical abuse and rape who married her attacker.

Now we find out she was a politically connected escort encouraged to run by a client and a famous senator only because conservative muckrakers did their research.

I mean if my daughter was pulling in millions on OF I would be game. Fuck the "Catch me outside" girl made 50million last year. That's like the Patrick Mahomes of whores.

Of course she will not be on OF because my genes will make her ugly as fuck. Better hit the books.

I'm just saying we ought to be able to shame sex workers the same way we talk shit about used car salesmen (and saleswomen).

Same, and I certainly won't shame her for having an abortion. I will, however, shame the crap out of her for trying to keep other people from having the same options she did.

As well as for being stupid.

I applaud her for aborting Ted Cruz's bastard baby.

I mean, there were a series of posts with people saying "I am not shaming sex work, but..." and you interpret that to mean we are not allowing you to shame someone?

Yeah. Weird take since those posts are shaming her for being a hypocritical politician.

We know. Its just not the same. also, male whores held up as successful. Women are made the butt of jokes and derision.

Well you said it too, but I don't know why anyone is acting like belittling sex workers is off limits when rappers have made billions talking shit about hoes and tricks, and literally no one is encouraging their daughter to become a prostitute.

I'm talking about actual prostitutes here and you know it. 99.9% of male prostitutes' clients are hot 45-year old divorced women either, btw.

I would discourage both my kids from being an escort, yes, but mainly from a physical safety and health perspective. Similarly, I'd discourage them form being a deep sea fisherman or a fire fighter. My parents discouraged me from becoming a wildlife biologist because they make shit money and there are venomous to deal with. And again, who said belittling the profession is "off limits." Other people express their opinions that differs from yours and you conclude we are censoring you somehow. Fragile conclusion.

It's just more that punching down at a group that society already marginalizes and ostracizes to a huge extent is kind of depressing and cringey.

+5 woke points.

I just think it's ridiculous that people would go out of their way to say they wouldn't ever want to get caught up in belittling prostitutes, especially when people take potshots at every kind of legitimate worker all day long.

And yet I'm talking about the double standard between men and women and their sex work. Not hotness. Not the clientele or location of the sex work. Women in unregulated sex work are very much in danger and it does not help to trivialize and stigmatize them.

But go ahead and keep making jokes because <checks notes> it's still a mostly free country for a few more months and you have certainly earned the right to slut shame whores.

Pretty sure that will still be allowed under the new regime.

Sex work is a more legitimate form of work than being a cop.
