also, he's getting the weirdest assortment of ingredients. I love weird pre-made grocery store guac on my asparagus.

Yeah but when you add the tequila to all that stuff it’s a pretty decent crudité.

You also can’t buy liquor in PA grocery stores but can in NJ grocery stores.

Imagine having to make two stops to pick up your asparagus and tequila!

Wait until he finds out he has to go to a third place for beer.

This seems like a good starting point for a platform. Walk around in a PA grocery store and complain that you can't find booze. Then ask someone who works there who says, "Fetterman and the WOKE LEFT don't trust you to buy liquor at a grocery store." Then Oz can say he'll get rid of the leftist nanny state who wants to take your liquor.

Guess I should've read till the end before responding. Oh well, leaving it to give the Fetterman team credit for helping it go viral yesterday.

I really think it is a good campaign. If Fetterman wins, he's developed a model that could work more widely. That is, define a short specific narrative about your opponent, that is largely devoid of policy, and hammer it with humor. He has suppressed enthusiasm for Oz amongst pubs and his legit funny repeated "attacks" on Oz for being a carpet bagger is increasing enthusiasm for young people. The effectiveness is not even about the carpet baggery but just finding funny, snarky ways to repeatedly mock your opponent without being boring or mean. It is kind of a Trump tactic, where Trump would come up with a nick name for his opponent and hammer the nick name home (think "little Marco"), except Fetterman's social media team is waaaaaay more clever and snarky about it.

Fetterman would respond with a clever tweet about Oz not knowing PA laws because he doesn't live in PA.

It's funny trying to watch Dr Oz pretend to be a man of the people and fail when Trump never pretends that. He hangs out at his own country clubs or NYC high rises all day and either wears suits or golf polos. Trump wouldn't be caught dead in a fucking grocery store.

You can buy beer at some Wegmans (as opposed to "Redmans", or whatever he said), but the checkout location is separate, with the prepared food.

So good.

Strong Lucille Bluthe vibes on that Dr Oz grocery store video

It really is bizarro world that post-Trump in Pennsylvania the Democratic Party elected a populist rough neck cargo short wearing fat white guy who once (as Mayor!) pulled a gun on a black jogger, while the Republican Party elected a clearly out of touch elitist millionaire doctor. Democrats super fortunate that Dr Oz won that primary, because he seems completely out of place in 2022 American politics.

Just trying to imagine how an effete Turkish Rockefeller Republican is supposed to appeal to MAGA QAnon Kenny Powers motherfuckers
