ESPN Investigation of the NBA and its academies in China

What about Chinese on Chinese crime ?

Hong Kong, the Uighurs, and unleashing a plague upon the world all get crickets from the NBA, and actual pushback in the case of HK. But smack some kids in a sports camp (something that, while reprehensible, every country on earth has done at one point or another and most still do) and it gets some pub.

The NBA is probably wanting to push this story to have an excuse to create some distance from China is my guess. I would hope that this becomes the norm with a lot of corporate entities in the post Covid world.
