Despicable and depraved. Hollowing out as many social institutions and public goods as they can.

Waiting for wrangor and jhmd to come out of hiding and condemn this bullshit. Iím sure that their consciences about their partyís complicity is enraging them because they believe in fair play and liberty.

They probably believe that charging one price to mail the same size items anywhere in the US is socialist and Marxism and communist and Satanist and kills babies.

For approximately 4 years, my opinion has been that trump is an existential threat who must be stopped at all costs, and everything this election must be focused on removing him from office, whether the candidates policies are progressive enough or too progressive. I take no pleasure in my opinion being vindicated repeatedly, and with greater urgency lately.

This sucks for so many reasons, but one other reason is that the US Postal Service has a workforce that is 18% comprised of veterans which is 3 times the national average for workforces. Fucking with the Post office is basically a big F U to our veterans.

Somebody just mentioned that this morning on Meet the Press - that the USPS has traditionally been an avenue to the middle class for many blacks. Growing up in a rural area, those post offices also provided good jobs and served as much as a community social center as a place to get your mail. And Trump is deliberately screwing all that up and messing with people's livelihoods for his reelection bid. What a compassionate conservative!

I guess at some point trumpublicans will pivot to all in on mail in voting because he will have had time (WEEKS!) to "fix" it. After all the shit they are and will ramp up wrt destroying the usps we will see some real fixing going on.

Here is a random tidbit...Teddy Rosevelt appointed a number of Black postmasters throughout Alabama and Mississippi in the early 1900s to promote equality and put black people in positions of influence in southern states.
