I am now getting to where I have a lot of different passwords for a lot of different accounts. Being old school they are all written down in a safe place. However I would prefer something stronger and easier.

How many of you use something like lastpass, 1password, dashlane, etc. and how does it work out?

This user got the spam email with his OGB password in the subject, and a threat to release his porn history alongside his front facing camera live feed, didnt he?

I've used LastPass and 1Password now.. liked em both. LastPass a little less secure overall but still good enough for 99.9% of users I'd say, and 1Password more difficult to set up on new devices but overall a lot more consistent and better UI/experience IMO. Love password managers, it's a lot of work to try and set one up first time but if you just put in sites as you visit them that can help (and I try to update passwords when I do that to something more secure and random at that point since I don't need to know it in my head anymore), eventually you'll have pretty full coverage.

I use lastpass. It can be a little clunky on some websites, but I’d give it a 9/10.

Oh, and you shouldn’t just have lots of different passwords. You shouldn’t have any two passwords that are the same. Lastpass makes it a breeze to generate unique passwords for every website.

Lastpass is great. It syncs over all platforms, so you always have your passwords. I've been a subscriber for years.

Yeah, the utility to cost ratio for last pass is off the charts good. $12 a year for something I use multiple times every single day

Yup, I only switched to 1Password because my company did and it came with a free family account as a perk of that.. super easy to migrate from lastpass too, so if lastpass ever does annoy you or get too expensive or something.

Paying for a good password manager is some of the best money you can spend.

I let Chrome save my passwords, but for generation I use this method (choose your own unique method for accessing the grid):
http://password.1337pages.com/

I like that they're not all stored with one trusted company, and that also I can keep all my passwords easily in my wallet, obfuscated.
