Johnny Nash, noted musician of the 60's and 70's died. He was 80. His best known hits were "I Can See Clearly" and "Stir it Up." The latter, written by Bob Marley, introduced reggae to mainstream American audiences.
He was responsible for introducing Bob Marley to American audiences by signing him to his record company. He also had Marley open for him in concert tours when Marley was an unknown.
Nobody has heard from him for a while because he quit performing around 1980 to be home with his family.
Condolences to his family, friends and fans.
RIP.
