From a friend of mine (English is not their native language) ... letting us know they were "ok" because men were running through the streets of my beloved city shooting people.

Tonight has been awful, please hug those who are important to you and let them know you love them.
 
Was just reading about this. Are you still living in Vienna? Be safe, sounds like one person is still at large.

Yes. I'm safe and at home. My friends are still barracaded in a restaurant, but they have "jagdkommandos" there to get them out now.
 
Wow. Stay safe. That kind of scenario is no way to spend a night.
 
Love Vienna; WF04 did his semester abroad there and we visited for a week.

and here I thought vad must have moved back to the US and A.
