I don't want to speak for WnB but I don't think he's saying that Biden winning this election and him "want[ing] to win elections with those exact same ideas" are the same.

I mean if you're a socialist go ahead and call yourself one - that's fine and it's obviously an increasing number of people (especially younger people) in America. I'm very far left as well and am on the border between what I would call a democratic socialist and a socialist. If I were running for office I'd call myself a progressive and be very careful with the exact language I used for the policies I support.

Why not? Defund isn't even accurate, it is a refunding not a defunding right? Im a fucking liberal voter in favor of all those ideas but you don't believe my ideology is pure because of a different name for the same thing?
