Official Election Month Thread: COUP falls short, nothing to see here

I think I was duped by the massive early voting turnouts, as well as thinking that after 2016, our country would come to its senses and do the right thing. I gave us way too much credit.

Yep

We be stupid.

Apologies to the rest of the world.

Well that’s a polling problem.

It is worth pointing out that modern polling was never this off before SCOTUS gutted the Voting Rights Act.

I'm trying to say it's a epistemological problem, not a data problem.

It's how we use polls to understand the world in ways that we really shouldn't.

I feel so stressed right now.

tillis has pulled ahead.
There still appears to be significant vote to count in Wake and Guilford and Forsythe.

Trump just pulled ahead in NC. FML

Or just a geographical/cultural problem, since there are two populations living in roughly the same area who want very different things from their government.

The % reporting seems to be off in a lot of counties but the vote count seem to show higher totals reported.
