Jawja Specials

So Trump sort of stumped for Loeffler and Perdue down in Valdosta, though mostly talked about himself and the rigged election. And he spent the weekend warring with Kemp and other Pub state officials. Not sure that really helps Loeffler and Perdue. The betting market odds still favor Perdue and Warnock.

I think the last thing Trump needs to solidify control of the party is for Loeffler and Perdue to lose because Trump isn’t on the ballot. Yes he was on the November ballot and lost but that’s not how they’ll see it.

I dunno is it possible he hopes they tank as a “warning” to what could happen without him around? Like he would use it as a rallying cry for the next two/four years? He’s one of the great strategic minds of our time and it is hard for me to keep up.

Republicans would be that much more desperate without control of the Senate.

I don't think this is any grand plan. I just think Trump doesn't care about anyone but himself.

As a former boss told me. "Don't mistake incompetence for intrigue. Or is it the other way around?"

The Republican message should be simple. "We need to elect Perdue and Loeffler to be a check on the Biden administration."

But if a significant percentage of GOP voters think Trump won, there's no sense of urgency to vote for Perdue and Loeffler because Pence would break a 50-50 tie.

I learned today that exit polls show Trump won 69% of white votes. That's a lot more than the 58% in national exit polls. But Black and Latino voting in GA was on par with the rest of the country. The only difference was turnout.

Neither campaign will ever reference Biden. Both Perdue and Loeffler are too afraid of the mental patient in the WH to do that. Their ads claim that Warnock and Ossoff are dangerous radical, liberal socialists and if they are elected, Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, and AOC will be able to enact their socialist agenda unchecked. Taxes will soar, private health insurance will be taken away, the military will be weakened, and the police defunded.

I was watching a local Atlanta broadcast last night and at one point, I counted five Senate race ads in a row. There are only two races and four candidates. But five in a row. The content and frequency of both sides' ads are absolutely insufferable.

Aren’t those both self report exit poll stats? Do you know what explains that disparity?

I don't think there's any real explanation except that white people in GA support Trump compared to white people in the rest of the country. That's probably somewhat due to urban/rural divide.

I should add the usual disclaimer about exit polls of course.

Looks like Biff’s super racist county is closing half its early voting locations for the upcoming runoffs.

Fixed, with the usual disclaimer about exit polls of course.

From what I’ve read locally, the decision was made because of the inability to find qualified staff to run the locations.

Between COVID, the holidays, and the threats made against election workers they could only staff a fraction of the locations.

Nah... it's much easier to just cry RACISM anytime something happens that doesn't have at least tacit endorsement from the left.

Reason that early voting locations must close- inability to staff them.
Location of closed early voting sites- want to answer that you dumb fuck

I also read that there were plenty of volunteers but the state decided not to train them.

I know exit polls are showing that Trump did better with black males and some Latino populations, but how accurate can those be? Exit polls are presumably heaving on same day voting, which had a heavy Trump lean. Also, polling has not exactly been accurate recently so... shrug.

Unhinged threats against election workers is a much better reason amirite?
