Republican Bullshit

These morons have no idea what "socialism" is. It's semi-amusing when some uneducated yokel babbles about it, but it is just pathetic when a congressperson does it.

Thx, Alabama.

And a big FU to KY for sending wicked senator “Let’s not have any lectures...” back to continue wreaking destruction upon us.

stay out of our life! You can't have an abortion though. God made Adam and Eve NOT Adam and Steve! Your private business cannot ask me to wear a mask because its MY life! However, my private business does not have to make a cake for a gay wedding.

I'm just going to start referring to anything that I don't like as socialism. $20 to park? That's socialism! You want me to give you two strokes a side (golf)? That's socialism! I have to have a reservation? That's socialism! Somebody will be here between noon and 5:00? That's socialism!

Honestly, for a lot of base conservatives, that pretty much is their definition of socialism. Pretty much anything they find annoying or that costs them money and relates in any way to any government - federal, state, local, etc. - is socialist. And probably even stuff that doesn't relate to the government. I suspect that many base conservatives couldn't give you a detailed explanation of socialism - it's just anything they don't like, which includes Democrats.

How does any true Bama fan vote for Tuberville?

Would any Tarhole vote for Coach K? Or Dookie vote for Roy?

The liberal echo chamber throughout this board is truly astonishing.

We welcome nuanced discourse and opposing viewpoints. What is your analysis of Tuberville's perspective, bro?

One man's liberal echo chamber is another man's calling out clearly obvious stupidity, and lack of decency and morals of one party that has clearly turned into the party of Trump and anti-democracy.

But, presuming you live in Wyoming, I'm sure you're in your own echo chamber - we can help you get out. Just blink twice.

yeah, we could use more voices like this around here:

I mean it should not really be that surprising to anyone on the boards, North Georgia gave us Rulz.

In my 30s...no boomer. Voted for Biden and then down ballot republicans. Have some strong conservative views, some very liberal views, and the majority of "somewhere in the middle" views. Should have clarified, but my comment wasn't pertaining to Tuberville's comments specifically (he's clearly in loony-tunes camp) but referring to The Tunnels holistically... I am appalled by both extremes, and think each group should be calling out their side's extreme more than the others. As a center-right guy, I find myself calling out "my side's" extreme behavior more: Trumpism, QAnon, rise in white supremacy, Christians blending with Trumpism are massive, massive problems. I'm way more concerned about ridding the right of all Toxic Trumpisms than pointing out the left's major issues. Why would I bother? No amount of finger pointing to the other side does any convincing (see "How to Win Friends and Influence People"). But RVAT and other voices pointing out the flaws in their own party is actually very productive. That's why I happily voted for Biden.

Finding loonies on the far right is easy. Same could be said of the far left. I'd encourage yall to spend more time looking in the mirror at the short comings of your own party. I see none of that here.

I love my Deacon fam (let's get it done tomorrow, btw), but I truly am sad to come over here every once in a while and see how deep into the echo chamber this place has fallen. It's the same type of echo-chamber and confirmation bias that is so prevalent on the right: Fox News caricaturing AOC/Pelosi/Deep State just further distances themselves from reality.

Really hoping we can come together as Americans and heal. I really believe we can, and I pray each day that we do.
