KP Report: Delaware State Hornets - November 25 4 pm - ACCN Extra

Wake scored more in the first half than Delaware State did the whole game.

Very balanced performance by Wake.

Don't know, I almost think in the long run its better to have fewer guys that played for Manning than more.

This.

Sarr and Chaundee aren’t going to be around 2-3 years from now once Forbes has had time to build a foundation. The less Manning players currently on the roster frees up space for Forbes to bring in his own players.

Nice win guys. Lots of scoring spread all around. And everyone got to play.

Conor had a nice write-up. One big miss that pretty much everybody had was the game Tariq Ingraham had.

That was an amazing debut from a guy who was expected to play only limited minutes.

Outstanding effort on both ends of the floor. It took the first ten minutes for the Deacs to get it in gear and the result was a 22-19 deficit. Defense ramped up, ball movement improved and the shots started to fall. The final ten minutes of the first half Wake outscored DSU 40-8 by virtue of holding DSU scoreless from the field for 10 minutes. The same effort was on display for the second half. The Deacs outscored DSU 52-21 to win by 60 points 111-51.

The most telling state of the game was turnovers/steals. Delaware committed 25 turnovers, 20 resulting from steals created by Wake's defensive pressure. The result was a 34-15 advantage on points off turnovers and a demoralized DSU team. A 49-26 Deacon rebounding advantage was also helpful.

The only possible downside to this afternoon's effort could be unrealistic expectations from a fanbase weary of losing. It's just one game...but it sure was fun to watch.

I remember a coach who came to Wake with a new approach. Started a 3rd string QB and took that team to its first bowl game in 40 years.

This guy is going to be a winner. It's obvious day one.

Disco Dan Collins must be smiling as he was one of the first to realize that Manning was a buffoon.

Fuck 'em They gone

My wife just accused me of being annoyingly happy. She has no idea...wait until Stone Cold Steve Forbes has us in the final 4!!! DAEMON DECONS BABY!!!

Coaching acumen was evident today regardless of how the rest of the season goes. Once the recruiting lines up things will be humming.

For anyone not acquainted with a good defensive effort, please refer to the first half of this game. Delaware State shut off from the field for ten minutes. Anyone still think coaching doesn't make a difference?

#coachingmatters

Hopefully this result proves as incisive regarding the direction of the program as Danny's loss to these jokers proved to be
