Sad news. He was one of my favorite Phillies of that era. Glad he got to see his number retired. He should be in the Hall of Fame.

Should have been in the baseball HOF as he had as good as or better numbers as many other players of his time but was too "abrasive" for many so just did not get the votes. Was an NL ROY [1964] & MVP [1972], 2 time AL home run leader, 1 time AL RBI leader & 7 time All-Star.
