Obviously no guarantee of anything this year. But I thought we could discuss various projections and possibilities here as we get close.

ESPN [Schlabach] = Duke's Mayo Bowl vs Maryland

CBS = Gator Bowl vs SCar

CFN = no bowl

Athlon = Duke's Mayo Bowl vs. Iowa

Sporting News = Gasparilla Bowl vs. UCLA

Of course these projections age quickly as teams like UVA drop out.

Also word out today that some teams might be able to create their own post-season games - with stipulations.

Charlotte, Orlando, Jacksonville or Annapolis. Curry just said its one of those and we are playing.

UCLA would travel all the way to Tampa for a bowl game?

Any more rumors? With the win requirements out the window, seems like bids could fall into place in advance of this weekend. As it is, it's very short notice for fanbases to plan.

Not much planning involved when sitting on couch eating chicken wings. Doubt many of the bowls are worried about fan attendance. The few fans allowed will be easy to fill up the allotments.

Resilient reporting in the other thread that we’re likely Charlotte bound vs Big Ten. Looks like either that or Tampa. Presumably will know this Sunday after Saturday afternoon’s championship game.

Pleased we’re going to a bowl but I am mildly curious why we’re still doing it with so many schools and bowls dropping out.

I assume that we'd want to play in a bowl because we had that month off in the middle of the season - might be a nice little reward for the team for coming back strong and finishing out the season after the shutdown.

Just taking a bowl like whatever the one in Nashville is called:
-assuming fans will be limited
-assuming teams won't be allowed to take in the usual stuff like Music Row, Grand Ol' Opry, etc. and will mostly be confined to the hotel and practice facility
-and the main (only?) reason for most of the bowl games during an unprecedented pandemic is to get $$ for filling t.v. viewing slots-

Why don't they play most of the bowl games on one of the two team's campus, preferably where the two teams are within driving distance of one another?
For example, we could play South Carolina in W-S or Columbia, and the sponsor/sponsoring city could still have plenty of signage and commercials to promote their mayonnaise, potato, hotel chain, local economy, resort, etc.

Takes time to plan on not being there. No plan is a plan and it takes time. Finding the ACC/Deac network experience should make us attractive to the imaginary bowl selection committees.

The Duke's Mayo Bowl is two weeks from yesterday. I will probably make some effort to attend if we're selected. The stadium is three miles from my house so I'm planning to Uber or make my wife drive.

You planning to have a big pre-game and post-game party? Maybe open up your house so folks can stay over?
I’m not sure I have your address. Please post.
We’re all looking forward to your hospitality.

My order of preference based on the predictions:

1) Gator vs. South Carolina
2) Gasparilla vs. UCLA
3) Duke's Mayo vs. Iowa
4) Duke's Mayo vs. Maryland
