wife vetoed "buck," a name i genuinely like

what are cool names you've heard recently?

we have friends whose two kids are wolf and athena

For number 2, I was pushing for Henry as a first name because I thought it would be cool to call the kid Hank. Wife vetoed and it ended up being moot as we had a second girl.

Most of my friends seem to be getting to the point of being done with children, so I'm not seeing many new babies in my circle. I think the last baby born in my group of friends was named Jude Wolf (first/middle). I've seen River as a middle name recently - parents fish together frequently so it makes sense for them.

Clayton is pretty southern...As is Dabo, although that isn't his birth name I don't think.

Yes and it would be the same in my case. My mom is a sweet little southern lady who would be appalled with my relationship that I have with your mom.

Appalled? Pretty sure we're all well aware of the relationship the four of you share. Sorry they took down the porn hub channel.

Not sure about given names but every family has a "bubba"

I've got some names of older generations in my family -- Judith, Harold, Rhoda, Lucretia, Mildred -- that I don't have great faith in seeing the return of

My friend, who majored in classics, named his daughter Athena

I think Dalton and Berkeley (pronounced Barkley!) make for cool first names. Former coworker of mine named his son Darwin which I don't think works quite as well.

English teacher here. Daughter's middle name is Prynne.

anybody else just a terrible note taker?

I hold everything in my head -- not a good practice
