Goff had surgery. He is definitely slated to start.

FWIW, the Rams also have Bryce Perkins (UVA QB) on their roster. He will be active on Sunday. Not beyond the realm that McVay might have a package for Perkins.
If CHI wins, each team needs to win to make the playoffs-it's basically a de facto playoff game. If CHI loses, LAR is in, and AZ is playing for its playoff life. So this game is definitely featuring at least one team fighting for its playoff life, possibly two, and thus should be on Sunday night because the teams are better than WAS/PHI (and I say that as an out of town Eagles fan who watches them at every opportunity).
Rick Neuheisel, who coached John Wolford, swears backup QB will be hero for Rams

I imagine Clawson will be doing plenty of press about Wolford by tomorrow evening.
Clawson is a very smart guy:

Holy shit, that's some effusive praise. Let's go, John!
What an awesome story. Get it done kid.
Coach Clawson is about to be interviewed on Mad Dog Sports Radio on Sirius.
Clawson says “Clemson plays the right way and is never chippy.” After discussing their suspensions.
He definitely spoke well of Wolford and Trevor Lawrence and even said we were one of the first teams to offer Justin Fields, and he remembers him coming to his office in Winston as a sophomore. “Then that blew up.” Sounded a little LOWF but what are you gonna do.
Some decent if basic exposure for the Deacs. The best exposure will be Wolford playing well tomorrow.
Rams have had a whole week to put together a game plan for Wolford. Also, he has been the number 2 quarterback all season, so he gets those reps weekly and has had the QB playbook all season. Unlike Hinton, who spent the season as a wide receiver and had just a few hours notice that he would be the QB. Not even one live practice, just a walk-through.
Looks like Akers will play after all
