Wake always plays so tight. Itís like they just wait for shit to go wrong.

    Was thinking the same thing.

Kept Cusick in too long IMO. He's a hell of a talent but the dude doesn't need to be pitching more than 90 pitches per game until we get to the regionals

With an extremely inexperienced bullpen and no Menendez tomorrow, sometimes you have to ride your ace for as long as possible (especially when the bats go cold after the first inning).

0-2 meatball by Adler. Walter teams have no idea how to win.

The always seem particularly unprepared early in the year.

    Wow. Typical diamond deacs

We haven't hit the ball in a few innings. No reasons to think we will come back to win this. Disappointed.

We rarely have clean games. there is always a run or two that scores due to errors and WPs.

Covid saved Walter and Wake last year from what was looking to be an incredibly disappointing year. Same old shit.

What's all this hype about our bull pen then? We are a top-20 team and in the ACC. We were up 5-0. This is dumb because it happens every season aside from our super regional run

There was never a lot of hype about the bullpen. The starters are elite, but the bullpen is extremely inexperienced. Lots of potential talent in the pen, but none proven.

The ďyouthĒ excuse seems to be a yearly thing for our bullpen. Itís college baseball. It shouldnít be the way.

When does inexperience get experience??? When you are up 5 and your starters arm is about to fall off. With that many arms with alleged 95+ speed you have to start bullpen by committee knowing you have some room for error vs predictable outcome when over pitching a 20 yo kid.

Maybe we finally have talent to overcome coaching???

Good teams find ways to win games in baseball. Letís not shit on the team 8 innings into a season.

Not over yet. Pen still has to get 3 more outs.

Definitely doesnít help to get experience when only around 1/3 of the prior season was completed.

Love the mound dancing by the freshman closer.
