2021 College Basketball Coaching Carousel

Arizona hires Gonzaga assistant Tommy Lloyd.

Curious to know how many times a "Power Conference" school has ever hired an assistant coach from a non-Power Conference with no college head coaching experience. Gonzaga is the elite basketball program these days.
 
Imagine thinking Wes turned down Wake last year only to end up at Cincinatti.
 
Brannen had a 6 year $9 million contract. If Wes got a similar deal that is a nice little pay raise

In all seriousness, gotta think he's getting at least that. Good get for Cinci.
 
Wes will have multiple teams in Final Four & folks here will still be defending WF’s horrific decision making over Wes.
 
Good for Wes- Cincy is a good job with a nice basketball history. Win there and then yes, he will be ready for an ACC job.
 
Wasn’t Donnie Greensboro advocating (with a straight face) that we should have hired Wes 10 years ago when his resume consisted of 1 year as an assistant at High Point.
 
Yes, he also said Wes would have the Tarheels in multiple final 4's in the next ten years and I believe that was a year ago that he said that so the clock is down to multiple FF's in 9 years for a team he does not coach.
