Totally Unofficial 2021/22 Premier League Thread (NWT)

More chatter about Sargent to Norwich:

Newly promoted Norwich City are in "advanced talks" to bring United States striker Josh Sargent to the Premier League following Werder Bremen's relegation from the Bundesliga last term, CBS Sports writes. The 21-year-old scored seven goals in 37 appearances in 2020-21, and has netted twice in his first two games in the 2. Bundesliga.

Werder Bremen are said to have already rejected one offer from the Canaries this summer, and are reportedly holding out for a transfer fee of €10m.

Our racist tweet wasn't meant to be racist. Come on guys.

If the training cone wasn't there looking like a hat those "slanty-eyes" wear then it never would have been a possibility to add that accessory to the picture.

- Juve PR person. Probably.

So the consensus seems to be that this all a power play by Barca to get La Liga to change their rules for them abs provide cap flexibility. If Tabas backs down and changes the rules to accommodate Messi and Barca then he may as well go ahead and disband the league. Sure it’s going to hurt in the short term (ad money) but keeping Barca (and Real) honest is the only chance you have to save the league.

As to the Juve photo… JFC. Anyone involved with taking and posting that picture should be shitcanned ASAP.

United up 2-0 in the first quarter hour in a friendly vs Everton. Maguire just scored with a fantastic header from a Shaw corner

Not sure about these friendlies between PL sides tho. What's the point? Maybe due to covid less friendlies vs clubs from other nations?

Bruno magnifico!

Free kick into the top corner from 25 yards. Why can't this be a real game? 3-0
