KP Report: WF at FSU : Noon Saturday -- RSN

Sucks to lose in OT. We had the game won in regulation and didn't close the deal.

But.... in the decade past we lose this game by 20+ pts. No doubt about it better days are ahead under Forbes.

We're going to be good again.

Massoud and Mucius have strengths. But glaring weaknesses have to be minimized. Neath doesn’t offer much right now with Dubois back and Williamson and Whitt playing well.

I totally blame Massoud, Muscius, and Neath's developerment on the buffoon. I think all 3 have talent but can Forbes rid them of their awful habits they learned at the hands of the buffoon?

DuBose is awesome. His output after his illness, and his overall attitude and effort, is exceptional. I also wish he'd converted one of those two misses...

And holy shit the Jonah stuff. Jonah came in for a quiet 3 minutes or so after his hot start in the first half and didn't sniff an open look. You can argue he should have played more at that point, but that's been his story all year. Teams might give him a few looks but then lock him out. Then he caught fire on a great combination of looks within the offense and in transition after a bunch of stops. The idea that we can just create shots at will for him, that he will never get tired just because he's making 3's, or that because he's hot he should just shoot it regardless of the situation is ridiculous. Taking a guy who is hot and cooling him off with terrible forced looks is what bad teams do. It's what Massoud is doing in this awful stretch of his.

Odds are we were one made free throw away, by our best player, from beating FSU on the road in game where FSU didn't even play poorly.

We're going to be really, really good.

Disappointing loss. Not bad considering the pre-game comments believed the Deacs would get blown out.

I had to listen to this one so comments are limited. Box score says Wake lost at the free throw line and on the boards. That's how it sounded.

Forbes was aggravated with the loss post game and made no excuses. He hates to lose. The game was there to win and this is why we lost. He won't settle for less than wins, that's why it's going to happen. He will step on toes and hurt feelings until victory is the only acceptable outcome.

Time to come home and begin the season ending winning streak.

Really bizarre takes on this Board trying to segregate players.

Every player on the team is a Forbes player now. Chaundee is thriving at Michigan now; does Manning get credit for that? No. He’a Michigan man now. All 13 scholly players on the team are Deacs and “Forbes guys”. Coach Forbes had them on campus since July. He’s had time to develop them under his methods. As is the case with most players, every guy in the rotation has had good and bad games. Also, to be accurate, Manning recruited DuBose to WF.

Sad how some can’t let things go. Don’t be the guy blaming everything on the girl that dumped him a year ago. Manning had nothing to do with this loss. WF was in position to win; didn’t close it out. Next time we will

FWIW, FSU has now won 11 OT games in a row to tie an all time NCAA record

It's all the buffoon's fault for the state we are in. Forbes is a good coach and is in the process of turning things around. As stated before, all the Manning guys have some talent, can Forbes rid them of the awful habits they learned under the buffoon. They are making progress, but will the Manning holdovers by in to the Forbes way?

Every player has bought in. The team is United. Asinine to try to divide them.

LOL Forbes took this job in the middle of a pandemic with basically no transfers left on the market with our whole team in the portal. He had no choice but to keep Manning’s guys. Talk to me when Forbes gets his guys.

Bitching about Manning is fucking lame. Get over it losers. Forbes has us on a fucking freight train to greatness.

Yeah, assigning players to Manning or Forbes is both pointless and meaningless. Manning added DuBose before his exit and he's our best player - who cares where the credit lands? It's not a question of Manning guys versus Forbes guys, it's a question of how a really bad team can make flawed players look better than they are, and how defense, effort, and strategy matter.

Agreed. Separating the players based on their former coach is dumb and doesn’t match reality (Oguanna and DuBose are two of our best players).

Agree 100% The team wins as a team and loses as a team. Not much bitching about Mucius during the UNC game.... Bottom line is we are young and learning. It was a great comeback, and we should have sealed the deal, but guys were tired and we missed our opportunity. Take some pride in this game and try to work on the execution and some of the little things. Damn, this sucks but it sure as hell is better than giving up and losing by 25.

Forbes will get us there, but the guys have to start valuing the ball and firing on, and from, all 5 cylinders.

Fortunately, Dubose never was coached by the buffoon. Forbes highly critical of Ody on the play that tied it up. It will take until next year before the stench of the buffoon is eradicated completely.

Any guesses why Wake didn't pick up full court with less than 6 seconds in regulation? Slowing FSU just a little was all that had to happen. Make them take 6 seconds to get a shot off, not 4.

they had bad games but i think mucius and massoud are both good players to have. imo massoud needs to take lessons from antonio and stick to his strength, which is outside shooting (on the coaches to decide). defensively massoud can be problematic but he’s actually stronger than i thought and can guard most 4s competently. obviously he gets exposed on the perimeter and in rotations though, but we should be able to mitigate that.

i think we expected too much from mucius but i think he’s just a nice all around player to have, believe someone compared him to jamaal levy which i thought was fair. but he has to be your 4th or 5th best starter.
