Sean Hannity, private plane and WFU Tennis

So we are playing in the big leagues now? Nice.

The most surprising thing about that article is that Wake students have to live on campus for three years these days.

Good well-sourced article that connects the dots without making the type of accusations Hannity himself would make.

Wake athletics is affiliated with some pretty lame dudes: Hannity, Ben Sutton, etc.

How much would it suck for Hannity to put Wake on probation?

for real. impressed at that level of investigation into a college tennis program (even if mostly bc of hannity's involvement)

Wait Shaun Hannity owns a home five minutes away from where I'm currently typing? I know exactly where this cul-de-sac is, its in the BV (old money part of W-S) but not the super ritzy part of it. For the good of America, I should probably egg it, right?

There is also 0% chance that these two houses being bought next door to each other is a coincidence. This article does not sound good for Bresky or Wake Tennis. Some shady shit went down.

It seems to be the houses built out of the woods off of Robin Hood in the last 10 years or so. Gated cul de sac.

Yeah its the cul-de-sac right before you get to Avalon.

Honestly the more I think about it, considering the white supremacy and bigotry that Hannity foments on a nightly basis, Wake having any connection to him is a bad idea. His kid can be a student and bribe his way on to the tennis team like any other rich kid, but having Hannity fly you around the country is really bad PR. Which could certainly be used against you in other sports.

You can not claim to be an inclusive university and align yourself with the guy who gives a mouthpiece to bigots and blames BLM and other social movements for the downfall of this country.

The article certainly doesn't do Wake Forest any favors. But like they say, If you play with the pigs in the pen, you are bound to get some mud on you.

Hate to break it to the Board, but every school receives money/benefits from …. politically incorrect sources. For those that don't like it, find a way for WF to receive so much money for "desirable" sources, so that WF can choose its benefactors.

Oh yes, the "you should give more money to Wake so they don't have to do that bad thing anymore" defense. Christ.

Or maybe just end college athletics because everyone over the age of 25 who is involved is some combination of a hypocrite and a criminal.

It's interesting that the tennis coach can afford a house on that cul-de-sac.

I would guess Bresky makes about $300,000 per year as one of the top coaches in the country. As a comparison, Ty Tucker at Ohio State (another good coach, and has a publicly available salary) makes $330,000 per year, and that doesn't count the money made from summer tennis camps. An $800,000 house seems reasonable, no?

Wait, so somebody disclosed details of a federal grand jury investigation that cleared Hannity and everybody's upset that some Wake tennis players got to ride on a nice plane for free ?
