this seems to be a very commonly used phrase in a typical republican mad-libesque statement (e.g. "Joe Biden and his radical liberal agenda will ruin America"). does anyone know what this actually means? are there specific policies that they point to as examples of radical liberalism? $15 minimum wage? keystone shut down? student loan cancelation? corporate taxes? court packing? DC statehood? not putting immigrants in cages? just curious if there is any substance to the phrase or if it is literally just some kind of pub dog whistle. i mean Joe has to be one of the least radical liberals out there!

The linkage of Joe Biden to the "radical liberal agenda" is a construct of those who oppose Biden.

Other things typically included in the radical liberal agenda are: abolition of prisons, defunding or abolition of police, reparations for slavery, green new deal, remake of energy use, energy production that is based on renewable sources, wealth tax, more progressive income tax, larger payments to poor people, increase in corporate income taxes, some form of universal health insurance, protection for LBTQ people, expanded voting rights act, nationwide mail-in ballots, restoration of voting rights to felons who have completed sentences.

I am sure there are more, but this list will help stimulate your thinking.

I don't think Republicans see a practical difference between the "radical liberal agenda," "liberal agenda," "socialism," and the Democratic Party platform. That's just their general statement they make to dismiss what they don't like.

it doesn't mean anything and never has

Information on the radical leftist agenda is all over the place. But just to give one example, you will need to get out of your no doubt comfy but deluded lefty cubby hole and abandon bizarre lubish terminology, such as talking about kids (often handed over to people smugglers or drug traffickers by their parents) in (Obama built) cages and consider the real problem: the Biden administration's undermining of secure borders and the left's push for open borders (much to the delight of the Chinese government authorities, Chinese opiate manufacturers and of course the murderous Mexican drug cartels.

The Biden administration considers it an honor to serve your local Mexican drug lord and the Chinese illegal drug industry beause if we don't help these nice folks all we can then, well ... "children in cages."

No doubt we will soon be honored to serve the divine policies of the ayatollahs as well.

Taking away "our" guns. Edit to add: Making it illegal to say "Merry Christmas".

As we often say, "You can't make this shit up."

these dummies probably think Mitt Romney is a radical liberal these days

Making jokes about someone based on their religion? Where have I seen that before involving rjkarl...

Anyone who uses "radical liberal" in regards to any current sitting member of Congress is a joke of a human being.

so many words saying nothing. never change comrade.

Get a grip...it must suck to hate someone you don't know. That says much more about you than me.

I hear from a lot of conservatives that nothing pisses them off more than the liberals taking "God and the pledge of allegiance out of school".. apparently the lack of God and the pledge has lead to kids having depression, shooting up schools, disrespecting their parents, etc etc etc

God will never be taken out of schools as long as there are tests and school dances and sports.

sort of what i figured - maybe i was trying to parse out what is just "liberal" from what is full-on, pearl-clutching "radically liberal"

Ummmm, we literally start every day with a moment of silence and the pledge of allegiance.

It's strange to me that both parties can't get behind a few things even theoretically, let alone practically. Climate change/a switch to more sustainable fuel, adjusting the minimum wage, and Puerto Rican statehood are all objectively things that need to happen. This isn't a topic like, say, abortion where we may never know who is right and who is wrong. They're real issues with complicated solutions that the right won't even entertain a roadmap to.

as I have been saying for years, there is no more liberal, it has simply been taken over by the left

Why does everything have to be so binary with conservatives? It's infuriating. The left tent is as large and diverse as any political party has ever been in history anywhere...and yet, they're all just "radical lubes!" in conservative's eyes. Just because they grouped up to try and hamstring an inherently terrible president doesn't mean that they agree on every other position.
