So as it stands if DuBose comes back.. Whitt, DuBose, Mucius, Lavaria, Ody starting lineup??

  2. #322
It's MVC competition but dude looks legit on tape. Welcome, Jake!

This definitely elevated my Tuesday afternoon. Forbes is hustling!

With Williamson, Ingraham, Hildreth, McCray, Massoud, and one or two more transfers off the bench. Feel like that team could at the very least be mediocre in the ACC in year 2 under Forbes assuming Whitt, Ody, and Mucius take a step of improvement.

    Welcome Jake!!!!

Missouri Valley conference is a strong mid major every year. Sagarin rates them as #11 this year, an equal of the Mountain West and stronger than the Southern.

LaRavia has played the 5 for Indiana State. He would certainly bring an enhanced skill set to that position for the Deacs, especially in a five out offense.

Probably wise to just assume that they're not coming back, with Dubose being a possible outlier in returning.

Sounds about right - maybe DW in for Dubose, who shifts to Vinnie Johnson “instant offense” kinda role

That’s a NIT team at least methinks

Somehow LaRavia was a 0-star guy:

He was apparently a guard in middle school and then hit a big growth spurt in high school. Not sure the rest.

Let's hold off on setting lineups and rotations.

Don't think Forbes is done adding to the roster. Also, lets confirm who is returning from this year's team. Not a lot is certain right now, except the WF basketball roster will look different than it does now.

well he's the only one I really care about, though would take another year of Jonah probably

dude this is a message board. if you edited out idle speculation and rumor mongering there would be nothing here....

and at this risk of massive hyperbole, this is a huge get for us. talented big, lots of high-major offers. even beyond what he personally brings (which is substantial!) it just gives a lot of credibility to Forbes and the staff and could be a turning point on the recruiting trail. if we can land a solid 4/5 to support Ody then we are are really cooking with gas

Only 3 more games. His assist/steals per games were similar to Williamson. Pretty good to get a big who puts up guard numbers.

Love this get, can realistically play the 2,3,or 4 for us

  17. #337
Well that's exciting. I saw LaRavia on our list of hopefuls, watched his tape and immediately assumed he was too perfect a fit to land here. Then Forbes and company locked him up in a week. When was the last time we had an actual ACC starting-quality 4? Hoard more of a 3, Collins played Center - has to be Dinos. That'll be nice, dude looks legit and has 3 years left.

He seems to have that Timmy D turn-around bank shot in his repetoire.

    Yeah, baby!
