Agreed. So which states aren’t worth a 1 week trip?

ND
SD
KS
OK
IL? (Is a week in Chicago too much?)
IN
MN
WI
PA? (I guess you could split your time between Philly and Pittsburg)
CT
DE
GA?

I feel like Minnesota offers enough possibilities to make a week long trip worthwhile. I'd definitely rather spend a week there than in Alabama or Mississippi. And people, Louisiana is the shittiest state in the nation. I know y'all love New Orleans and all, but where is the hate for that state?

Didn't Scottsdale become a cool spot? I think it happen right when I stopped being cool, so I never looked into it.

I did a spring training trip in Scottsdale a few years ago this weekend (approximately). It's got a lot of high end stuff and it's scenic, but super spread out and generic otherwise. Great golf. Can climb Camelback Mountain. Native American stuff.

DE has good beaches.

After Covid, between the historical sites, museums, sports, restaurants, music, casinos, tracks and more, you could easily spend a week in Philly.

Sorry dude. I've spent more time in Miami than you might imagine and have been all over that place.

I could spend a week in Chicago no problem, given that it's in the three week window of nice weather they get.

I'd spend time in Philly and Pittsburgh, but also some time around Ohiopyle/Laurel Highlands/Fallingwater in PA. Not a ton to do but great hiker/biker stuff. Maybe lake house in Poconos.

I could definitely spend a week in GA between Atlanta and Savannah and the coast. Delaware beaches are aight too.

hey TWMD is fibromyalgia real

my old roommate who is a doctor basically broke up with his long term gf after they had a big fight about it because she was pretty sure she had it and he insisted it was a fake disease

(this was 5+ years ago)

I think it’s real in the sense that there are real symptoms but there isn’t one thing that will be like aha that is what causes it. I think it’s just a bunch of unexplained tangibly related symptoms that are triggered by a host of factors and from there it’s hard to say where to go. Anytime there are current untreatable symptoms or unexplained occurrences I think the disease becomes stigmatized as well as being latched onto by fringe elements, get your supplements now! There’s actually a lot of renewed interest in chronic fatigue syndrome (which I say is 1b to fibromyalgia 1a) and research because of the long hauler covid people, large sample size with a clear cause and effect.

Minnesota is pretty cool when it's not frozen. I like the twin-cities plus you've got the boundary waters wilderness area - definite potential for a great week.

Do not go to a casino in Philadelphia.

Look, nearly every state in the US has some great stuff that can fill up a week, even if some of it is 3+ hours apart. But considering you maybe have 15-20 vacation days a year, you might not want to spend any of them in a place like Pittsburgh.

The fact that I will be receiving almost 6 g's of government cheese very shortly makes me worry about how shit is gonna go down for my kids. Someone explain to me that I'm stupid and why.

Pittsburgh >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Charlotte

I have a total blind spot to GA beaches. How do they compare to NC/SC/FL?

When you live in Charlotte, what is even the point of a vacation, Biff?

Like debt wise? Don’t worry, government can print more money or print less money. It literally doesn’t matter.

Be much more worried about how the world will adapt to climate change and the continuing inequality it will cause.

Scottsdale is okay, went out there twice for top performers trips at my last job. Stayed at the Sanctuary on Camelback which was sick (no kids) and The Phoenician which was just okay (fucking kids everywhere). If you like golf and/or spa and can afford to pony up for top tier accommodations it could be a good trip.

So no new worries and just the terrifying shit I've always worried about. Got ya.
