Rule number 1-Get the money first.
Rule number 2-Don't forget about the money.

Hopefully this isn’t too political, but based on my uncle’s Facebook posts it’s not clear to me that he understands that as a government employee, his paycheck is composed of money taken from other people’s paychecks.

My GOP loving mother occasionally likes to complain about gov't spending/welfare/etc. and then I remind her that she's been gov't issued disability, retirement, and now social security for as long as she worked as a teacher, and that usually quiets her down.

Speaking of kids and alcohol, here OSDBoy working the tap at the Grassy Knoll tailgate, exemplifying "trailer standing"

I’m not going to name names or anything, but somebody bought a bag of those animal crackers that have frosting and sprinkles while at the store yesterday too. Daggum serving size is 7 crackers, 150 calories. That’s like one handful & I can easily eat multiple handfuls in just a few minutes. Those are addicting.

Man, the idea of tailgating this fall almost makes me tear up. We need to get a CT tailgate in the works.

How is that? I’ve been meaning to try it.

It’s pretty good but I love hazy IPAs so my judgment is clouded (no pun intended). I’ve been a fan of AMB since we stopped by on a weekend trip to Boone in late 2019 and I see it a good amount around here.

If it wasn't for the bullshit that we buy the kids to snack on, we would never have any trash food around the house. I also do not possess the willpower to not binge eat trashy kid food once a week. Yogurt covered raisins are the kryptonite of my ab definition.

Wish I could blame it on kids but that’d be odd considering I have none. I love junk food but thankfully I still have a pretty fast metabolism & have started eating a lot healthier than a couple of years ago.

Nice! I spent a lot of time at AMB. I prefer Booneshine, think they have better beer + still independent, but they didn’t have their own space before I left. AMB has a cool spot.

Alright so I dropped by a gas station in Hickory yesterday to get a bottled water. Walked in and they had a mini casino. Probably 10-12 slot machines. I figured "hey, let me put $20 in this machine and see what happens"...I was betting $1 a spin. Got down to about $6 and hit the bonus...Walked out of there with $488...

Everyone in that establishment looked like they wanted to kill me.

Other than mixers (ginger beer, tonic, etc) I think I can count on one hand how many sodas I've had in the last year - I usually only get them at fast food restaurants, and no travel has really cut down on those visits.

Coffee is usually 3-4 espresso type drinks a week, usually made at home. But now the weather is better, the nitro draft lattes at La Colombe will be calling my name.

My brother is a committed DINK for life, so we'll be relying a lot on our cousins and their kids. Luckily I have a lot of those and we're pretty close, even though we're all spread out all over the country these days. I'd love to be able to recreate the annual extended-family beach trips we did when I was growing up.

At some level, isn’t that what all of our paychecks are? My salary is taken from profits that would otherwise belong to shareholders.

Holy shit do yourselves a favor and check out the Non-Political Coronavirus Thread. Go about five pages back to post #5225. Absolute gold.

is there anything lamer than LinkedIn posts where people share articles about how to be better at businessing?
