The seldom seen double post an hour apart

Tapatalk will do that to me sometimes if I hit post, then close my phone, then open the app again later.

Set another personal record for Tuesday today, 4:33. Probably not going to beat that anytime soon.

Pulled a tick out of my leg last Monday. Yesterday I developed the bullseye rash consistent with Lyme. Gonna see the doc this afternoon. Pray for Mojo.

Good idea…you’ll likely get an antibiotic and be fine.

Best wishes.

i hit 5:44 today - pretty easy even for a tuesday.

Thanks! I appreciate it. My wife was treated for chronic Lyme so there was no way I was going to get away with doing anything else. It may be unrelated, but I can’t help to wonder if getting the second dose of placebo on Friday had my immune system thinking , “hey asshole, one at a time!”

I've had a couple dozen tick bites in my life but never had the bullseye and never been tested for Lyme. Maybe I should.

i didn't get a bullseye when i got Lyme's; apparently, the trademark rash only happens 30% of the time

ah, well bob's your uncle - i was in that group

took about 3 months of extreme lethargy, strange rashes and general malaise for me to finally go get checked out, thanks to a friend.

My brother in law had a bad case of Lyme and took months to recover fully

I pulled one off of the 5yo yesterday. That is a pretty regular occurrence around our place.

I have a good friend that had undiagnosed Lyme for years (they thought it was MS for a good bit) and it’s crazy to see what that’s done to him. Gets exhausted now golfing with a cart, still no feeling in feet or hands

For WifeInVermont, we never found a tick or a rash she just started running daily fevers and had a host of other symptoms. Took 4-5 months of testing and no one ever formally diagnosed her with anything. We ended up seeing a Lyme specialist from Canada to treat her and it ended up working after several years of some harsh antibiotics. In the abstract, the process we went through was a bit crazy and, admittedly, not compatible with what would be considered standard medical protocol. I am less open to alternative form of treatment than my wife, but I understand the desperation it took for her to go a different route when specialist after specialist would tell her “you’ve got SOMETHING but it isn’t what I can fix.”

Hopefully, a couple of weeks of doxycycline and I’ll be gorging myself on steaks again.

It's been well over a decade for my buddy

if you have the rash you're going to be fine. my son had it, i caught it and got him some meds and he never looked back.

it is a wild world in which my dog can get a lyme vaccine but they discontinued the only one available for humans in 2002 because of "insufficient demand"
