Morning Diggler. Are you a fuddy duddy?

yes, apparently so. that song is the musical version of porn, and apparently if your local Chilis decides to put porn on TV and you ask them to turn it off, you're a dick. Also, lots of people think that you should simply EXPLAIN to your six year old what a wet ass pussy is, and what it means to swipe your nose like a credit card in it, and if you don't you're just a LAZY PARENT/KAREN. (I know the original child was 2.5, but that doesn't seem to be a relevant factor in the responses.)

I may be lacking in my parental skills, but Iím not sure Iím ready to have that conversation with my 2 and 5yo at this point.

to be fair this is one of those classic "you don't know how you'll react as a parent until you have kids" moments. I totally see why people without kids think parents should just deal with it. we already often turn the world upside down to accomodate parents by putting toys in the brewery and giving people paid time off for choosing to have unprotected sex. single people (or DINKs) pay more for health insurance and in taxes to cover the children of others.

Got stuck in the Paris airport yesterday after missing my connection. Debated whether it was worth it to take a cab to the Lain Quarter, but decided to spend my time in the Air France Lounge instead. Putting airports so far outside the city kinda sucks.

PS Americans are travelling again. Greece, Croatia, even countries I didnt't think were allowing Americans yet. People were on the flight just hoping for the best. Kinda wild to fly across the Atlantic and hoping you get a lazy customs official.

i like it. our cruise in October hits Croatia, Slovenia, Montenegro, and Greece.

    getting my second shot today.

Good for you. Apparently, Slovenia and Montenegro have some of the most beautiful women in the world. I was looking at going to Croatia next weekend, but the flights are insane from where I am. If you need restaurant recs in Greece hit me up.

Good luck with the 2nd. Mine was fine, but people have different reactions.

Donít think Cav ever specified that it was unedited. Sounded like he was just saying that kind of music wasnít appropriate.

Given the unbelievable amount of shit that service workers are forced to put up with, I err on the side of not asking for anything beyond what is absolutely necessary. Iím fine with my kids hearing a few minutes of bad words when they are probably barely paying attention (they are much more likely to be glued to the restaurantís TV than listening to the background music).

  15. #335
To clarify it was 100 percent unedited.

We were there when they opened so Iím assuming while they were preparing to open they were playing music from somebodyís phone plugged into an AUX cord and forgot to switch it over when they opened. I assumed I was giving the waiter a heads up that they hadnít switched it over before the Real Housewives of Cobb County got involved. Kids were pouring into the restaurant from their little league and soccer games.

It wasnít just one song. That was just the most egregious example.

No problem asking waitstaff to change music with unedited lyrics and if my kids asked about the song I would tell them itís about a kitty cat that got caught outside in the rain.

    How loud was this music?
