He joins Condi Rice and Pete B in addressing the 2021 Wake grads according to the WS Journal.

That paper also reports that Wake's endowment fund began with sale of 16 slaves. Wingate Hall will be renamed but Waite Hall will remain, though both men were slave holders and the buildings are attached.
 
Wait Chapel will remain.

Will be good to have Kendall back on campus.
 
The grads are getting both Condi and Pete? That's pretty cool to get two bigwigs.
 
Love Hinton’s write up on the website:

“Kendall Hinton, wide receiver for the Denver Broncos, elevated from the practice squad as emergency quarterback to start against the Saints in week 12 of the 2020 season; graduated in 2019 from Wake Forest where he played football as a quarterback and wide receiver.”

It's actually 4. The speaker for the Baccalaureate is Michael Curry. He is the presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church and is probably the best preacher in America. He officiated the funerals of George Bush and John McCain and preached at the wedding of Prince Harry and Megan Markle. The first church that he served was in Winston-Salem back in the early 80's.
 
Wow. Guess they deserve it for gutting out a tough senior year. Good for them.
