My buddy who works at the hospital up there said apparently Etute and "Angie" had met previously but "Angie" dressed like a girl and wore a hoodie and kept the lights low then asked him to leave as soon as the oral was finished. All speculation I guess, but apparently this guy had a rep for attempting this type of stuff before according to Reddit so maybe this approach was successful previously.

Knocking his teeth out would probably be sufficient punishment for the catfishing, but if he really slobbed his knob previously under false pretenses and then unveiled a big surprise on the follow-up visit, then about 4 days of probation sounds right.
 
Yeah the defense is going to drag all kinds of victim shaming/blaming into the trial and that will sway at least one VT fan jury member.
 
maybe it's just me, but when I get a date on Tinder and I show up and my date is wearing a hoodie and in a dimly lit room, my spidey sense goes off and I get out of there. Of course it was a dude!

If the catfishing and previous visit stories are true, then "victim shaming" is probably the wrong term to use. We wouldn't call it that if a woman killed her would-be rapist. Not quite the same scenario, I know, but not that far off either.

But it will be interesting to see if (again, assuming the stories/rumors are true) the court allows his past to be entered into evidence. I would think it would be highly relevant in the case, but good luck getting any dudes in Blacksburg to come forward and testify that they too were victims of a catfishing and had their knobs slobbed by a dude.

Absolutely. But kids who are 18 years old and anticipating that they are going to bust a nut within the next couple of minutes aren't exactly known for rational thinking.

I would be remiss if I didnt point out the similarities between this story and the Independence Bowl week incident in which several Wake (and Oregon for that matter) football players were catfished by a notorious local.

You would know better, but I only heard about 1 particular player who was catfished.

That's basically it. A "woman" said she would take football players to her hotel room across the street for oral sex but that you could not touch her. I don't know how many went but I know some did. The next morning one of our police escorts laughed when he heard the story and revealed that the woman was actually a man. Her/his name was Candy if I recall.
 
nothing wrong with getting a blowski from a broski. Should have just rolled with it and moved on.
 
Not an attorney, but this case seems like something that neither side will want a part of in trial. This feels like it will get pled down to some lesser charge of manslaughter. Two lives irretrievably ruined whatever the legal outcome.
