SCOTUS 9-0 Ruling: "The NCAA is not above the law."

I think a lot of the initial clamoring for image rights has come from people thinking about the big names, each school's superstars who will more likely than not get a shot at the NFL or NBA.

Other than like possible-future-starting-QB at Alabama or Clemson, a lot of the names we're seeing are obscure athletes in smaller sports who probably won't be professional athlete millionaires after graduating from college.

(Sorry, more random thoughts as I continue to think through this)
 
I think the big stories out of this are going to be more about athletes who monetize their Instagram than a 1980s type concern about schools brokering endorsement deals to steal athletes.

We're one year into this ruling.

Interesting looking back on comments from when it was handed down to how it evolved.
