Great story. Had to laugh at this.
Never really thought of Bird as a trash talker.

He’s probably considered one of if not the top trash talker of all time.
 
If you say you’re going to score 43 tonight, and you hit 43 in the third quarter and check yourself out of the game, is it even trash talking at that point

It's not really trash talk when you back it up.
 
I never really thought of Rodney as a trash talker , but yes , Bird is the supreme trash talker of all time and everyone else is just trying for 2nd place.
 
That’s just shows how next level those guys were. Rodney was great player and freak athlete. Yet, guys like Bird, Magic and Jordan could toy with him like he was a clumsy little kid.
