2021 Pit FFL - ALL HAIL REDWING AND HIS JIVE TURKEYS

Fighting Cocks
Overall Pick: 14th
Yahoo Grade: A

Starting Roster
QB: Allen
RB: N. Harris
WR: T. Higgins
TE: Andrews
FLEX: Cooks
FLEX: Pittman Jr.
DST: Pittsburgh

Yahoo Analysis
Draft Summary
A skillful draft performance by the GM of Fighting Cocks turned the No. 14 overall pick into a projected 2nd-place finish. Fighting Cocks are predicted to finish 12-2 (1,612 points) in Pit League 1.

Biggest Steal: Alexander Mattison
What a nice late-round bargain for Fighting Cocks, who selected Mattison with the 7th pick of the 10th round, about four rounds later than his ADP of 129. Coming off a season in which he ran for 434 yards and 2 TDs and hauled in 13 passes for 125 yards and 1 TD in 13 games, totaling 80 fantasy points, Mattison is projected to score 81 fantasy points with the Vikings. That makes him a valuable No. 3 RB for this squad.

Regression Candidate: PIT DST
The Steelers ought to decline the most from last year of all 12 players selected by Fighting Cocks. After a season in which they totaled 148 fantasy points, Pittsburgh is projected to score 106 fantasy points, a 29% drop.

Draft Notes
  • With only one quarterback off the board, Fighting Cocks predicted a run on the horizon and jumped in early, taking Josh Allen at No. 27 overall. In the ensuing round, three more quarterbacks were chosen.
  • Fighting Cocks face a tough task in Week 7 when they have five players on a bye (Josh Allen, Najee Harris, Pittsburgh, Alexander Mattison, and Benny Snell Jr.). Perhaps leveling the playing field, your Week 7 opponent -- Barça -- will also be tackling their worst bye week with three players (Adam Thielen, Chase Claypool, and Joshua Palmer) getting the week off.
  • Based on projections, Fighting Cocks won't face too many speed bumps in Pit League 1 this season with a strength of schedule ranked as the easiest. But don't get complacent. For those players who fail to remain active, even the lightest schedules can present roadblocks.
  • Fighting Cocks selected WR Brandin Cooks with the 94th pick as the first flex player on the roster, taking advantage of the WR/RB/TE position only after completing all of the individual offensive positions in the draft.
Gooner Analysis
Yahoo is very high on the mighty Fighting Cocks this year, and I understand why they are. I disagree slightly due to my own player evaluations but it can't be denied that the Cocks are a solid roster. Cocks pulled the trigger early on Josh Allen which could pan out well, but any regression from the Bills' QB this season from last year's performance will have some wondering whether a high tier WR might have been the play. But Cocks were still able to nab 2nd-year breakout candidate Tee Higgins and underrated Brandin Cooks so his WR corps may not be elite, but does have some depth and could pan out further should either Michael Pittman Jr. or Mecole Hardman take the leap this season. Similar to bern, RB may be a weakness, but Cocks has bigger risk inherent to his top line RB with rookie Najee Harris. If things pan out for Cocks, he could walk cock-first to a playoff spot. But if his players don't meet projections based on their potential, he could be in for a rather flaccid season.

YoungBuck
Overall Pick: 18th

Starting Roster
QB: Herbert
RB: Mixon
WR: Hopkins
TE: Gesicki
FLEX: R. Anderson
FLEX: Landry
DST: Tampa

Yahoo Analysis
Draft Summary
When a bottom-half draft slot produces top-half results, that's the sign of a great effort by the GM. Such was the case with YoungBuck, which flipped its No. 18 overall pick into a projected 7th-place finish in Pit League 1. The team is particularly deep at the wide receiver position, as DeAndre Hopkins are slated to combine for the 4th-highest point total of all starting WR groups in the league. YoungBuck are predicted to put up a total of 1,555 points based on the current roster, which would result in a 9-5 record.

Biggest Steal: Tyrell Williams
YoungBuck scored a great late-round value in choosing Williams in the 9th round, about three rounds later than his ADP of 122. Williams is projected to score 209 fantasy points with the Lions, which makes him a valuable No. 2 WR for this squad.

Reach Pick: Jarvis Landry
You must have had some inside info when deciding to choose Landry in the 5th round, about 22 slots earlier than his ADP of 120. Then again, maybe you're onto something. Projected to score 191 fantasy points this season with the Browns, he seems poised to beat last year when he grabbed 72 balls for 840 yards and 3 TDs, totaling 152 fantasy points. Based on projected points, Landry will slot in as the No. 4 WR for YoungBuck to begin the season.

Draft Notes
  • YoungBuck face a tough task in Week 13 when they have three players on a bye (Robby Anderson, Jarvis Landry, and Carolina). Fortunately, Team Ph, your Week 13 opponent, will be facing a similar issue with two players (Aaron Jones and Tennessee) getting the week off.
  • YoungBuck have drawn one of the least daunting schedules in Pit League 1 this season according to projected records with a strength of schedule that rates as the 5th easiest.
  • With the 4th-oldest group in the league at an average of 5.3 years of NFL experience, YoungBuck have assembled a fairly old squad. Driving that point home, they didn't pick any of the 25 rookies drafted.
  • Despite an offensive opening at TE in the 4th round, YoungBuck chose WR Robby Anderson at No. 63, filling the WR/RB/TE flex position at the expense of a position of higher importance.
Gooner Analysis
Joe Mixon has scarred me for life in fantasy and I do not trust him, but there's no doubt that if he stays healthy and Cincy can figure out their line problems, he could be an RB1 caliber player. The risk there is high, but YoungBuck mitigated that somewhat by snagging Hopkins at a discount rate with the 23rd pick and grabbing Herbert one round later. I won't slander Carolina on this board too badly, but there might have been better value on the board than Sam Darnold's WR2, and Jarvis Landry showed last year that even when he's the only healthy WR on that Cleveland team, he has a hard ceiling on his fantasy output. YoungBuck was the first to go for a D/ST and with picking Tampa, he can plug them in and not worry about it outside of his one by week. I think YoungBuck also got decent value late with some WR lottery tickets, but overall I think there was potentially some value left on the table. Still a commendable draft from the 18th spot.

DeaconPeach
Overall Pick: 11th
Yahoo Grade: A

Starting Roster
QB: Prescott
RB: J. Taylor
WR: McLaurin
TE: Tonyan
FLEX: Henderson Jr.
FLEX: Waddle
DST: San Francisco

Yahoo Analysis
Draft Summary
A skillful draft-day performance by the GM of DeaconPeach turned the No. 11 overall pick into a projected 1st-place finish. With Jonathan Taylor expected to combine for the 4th-highest point total of all starting RB groups in the league, DeaconPeach are predicted to finish 13-1 (1,618 points) in Pit League 1.

Best Pick: Tony Pollard
DeaconPeach scored a late-round value with the pick of Pollard in the 8th round, about 24 slots later than his ADP of 126. Coming off a season in which he ran for 435 yards and 4 TDs and hauled in 28 passes for 193 yards and 1 TD, totaling 145 fantasy points, Pollard is projected to score 135 fantasy points with the Cowboys. That makes him a valuable No. 3 RB for this squad.

Most Likely to Improve: Marquez Callaway
For most people, this is when we would tell you how you got a little bit ahead of yourself in the draft. But apparently, you're not normal, as you don't seem to have made any flubs. Instead, we'll highlight more positives. The WR seems poised to take the biggest leap over last year of all the offensive picks by DeaconPeach. After a rookie season in which he caught 21 passes for 213 yards in 8 games, totaling 43 fantasy points, Callaway is projected to score 177 fantasy points with the Saints, a 314% gain, making him the No. 2 WR for this squad.

Draft Notes
  • Week 6 will be a rude awakening for DeaconPeach, as they have three players on a bye (Marquez Callaway, San Francisco, and Tony Jones Jr.). Luckily, Edarem, your Week 6 opponent, will be tackling a similar issue with three players (Jameis Winston, Raheem Mostert, and Trey Sermon) on a bye.
  • For the first half of the season, DeaconPeach have an easy path in Pit League 1 based on projections with an early-season strength of schedule that ranks as the easiest. Even so, for the season as a whole, DeaconPeach should expect a pretty fair path rated as the 9th toughest.
  • DeaconPeach are leading the youth movement, putting together a squad with an average of 3.3 years of NFL experience, ranking as the 3rd-youngest group in the league. Demonstrating their commitment to youth, they selected one rookie (Jaylen Waddle). In total, there were 25 rookies selected over the course of the Pit League 1 draft.
  • In spite of an open slot at TE in the 4th round, DeaconPeach drafted RB Darrell Henderson Jr. at No. 70, filling the WR/RB/TE flex position instead of a more important position.
Gooner Analysis
Love, love, LOVE what Peach was able to do from the 11th spot. If Taylor can be the RB that everyone projects he can be, Peach could have top 5 performers at every starting offensive position. Scary Terry McLaurin is a favorite of mine and getting Dak in the middle of the 3rd round looks to be a great time to go for a QB. Henderson has every opportunity to be the guy for LAR which could give another top-10 caliber RB to Peach. Tonyan is a bit TE-dependent but will be in a great offense and is a solid TE option in a weak position group. And the rest of her draft is just pure heroin for me: Waddle, Callaway, and Pollard are all phenomenal value where she was able to draft them. Peach is an early playoff favorite of mine, astounding job by her from possibly the most difficult draft position possible. Brava, ma'am.

QB: Mahomes
RB: Edward-Helaire
WR: Aiyuk
TE: Pitts
FLEX: C. Davis
FLEX: M. Williams
DST: Kansas City

Yahoo Analysis
Draft Summary
Turning a bottom-half draft slot into top-half results is the sign of an impressive effort by the GM. Such was the case with Satan's Minions, which flipped its No. 16 overall pick into a projected 6th-place finish in Pit League 1. After picking up multiple Chiefs in the early rounds (Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Patrick Mahomes), Satan's Minions are predicted to put up a total of 1,584 points based on the current roster, which would result in a 9-5 record.

Best Pick: Mark Ingram II
What a fantastic late-round value for Satan's Minions, who got Ingram II at No. 185, about four rounds later than his ADP of 126. Following a season in which he ran 72 times for 299 yards and 2 TDs in 10 games, totaling 50 fantasy points, Ingram II is projected to score 101 fantasy points with the Texans. That makes him a valuable No. 2 RB for this squad.

Most Improved: Ryan Fitzpatrick
Typically, this is when you would hear about how you got too fancy in the draft. But it's clear that you're not a typical fantasy owner, as we couldn't find any missteps. So we'll focus on more of the good. Of all the offensive selections by Satan's Minions, Fitzpatrick is expected to take the biggest jump from last year. After a season in which he threw for 2,406 yards and 13 TDs with 10 INTs over 10 games, totaling 161 fantasy points, Fitzpatrick is projected to score 330 fantasy points with the Football Team, a 105% jump, which makes him the No. 2 QB for this squad.

Draft Notes
  • Satan's Minions prompted a run on the quarterback position, taking Patrick Mahomes with the 5th pick of the 2nd round as the first QB off the draft board. In the subsequent round, three more quarterbacks were selected.
  • Satan's Minions face a difficult challenge in Week 12 when they have three players on a bye (Patrick Mahomes, Clyde Edwards-Helaire, and Kansas City). Screamindemon3, your Week 12 opponent, won't be quite as hamstrung with only one player (Christian Kirk) on the sideline.
  • Based on projected records, Satan's Minions have one of the best schedules early in the season in Pit League 1 with a first-half strength of schedule rated as the 2nd easiest. In spite of that, for the full season, Satan's Minions face a fairly balanced schedule that ranks as the 14th toughest.
  • Satan's Minions filled all of their individual offensive positions in the draft before turning to the WR/RB/TE flex position, drafting WR Corey Davis with the 96th pick as the first flex player on the squad.
Gooner Analysis
A man after my own heart, Satan loaded up on players from Kansas City. Mahomes is Mahomes and will offer elite-level numbers for the whole season at QB. CEH is a logical post-hype breakout candidate and should be a huge benefactor of a totally revamped offensive line in KC. The rest of Satan's draft is solid. Aiyuk may regress a bit with Deebo being fully healthy and potentially a rookie QB behind center eventually, but is still a solid WR week by week. Kyle Pitts should garner a lot of the targets left behind by Julio's move to Tennessee and with such a high draft pick being spent on him, Atlanta will look to get him involved early and often in what should be a good offense. Corey Davis is a WR1 for an NFL team which should give him a high floor, and Mike Williams should benefit from a 2nd-year QB and better offense in LA. The bench is nothing to write home about, but the starters should do enough to keep Satan from consecutive bottom finishes in the Pit League.

TripleDeacon
Overall Pick: 12th
Yahoo Grade: A-

Starting Roster
QB: Cousins
RB: G. Edwards
WR: Hill
TE: Fant
FLEX: Jefferson
FLEX: Hunt
DST: LA Rams

Yahoo Analysis
Draft Summary
A brilliant draft performance by the GM of TripleDeacon turned the No. 12 overall pick into a projected 5th-place finish. The team is notably strong at wide receiver, as Tyreek Hill are expected to combine for the highest point total of all starting WR groups in the league. TripleDeacon are predicted to finish 9-5 (1,599 points) in Pit League 1.

Biggest Steal: Michael Thomas
What a nice mid-round value for TripleDeacon, who selected Thomas in the 7th round, about 30 slots later than his ADP of 102. Coming off a season in which he grabbed 40 balls for 438 yards in 7 games, totaling 64 fantasy points, Thomas is projected to score 169 fantasy points with the Saints. That makes him a valuable No. 3 WR for this squad.

Going out on a Limb: Gus Edwards
You may have gotten a bit ahead of yourself when deciding to draft Edwards in the 3rd round, about 30 spots earlier than his ADP of 82. Then again, perhaps you're onto something. Projected to score 212 fantasy points this season with the Ravens, he looks poised to beat last year when he racked up 723 yards and 6 TDs on 144 attempts to post 124 fantasy points. Edwards will slot in as the No. 1 RB for TripleDeacon, according to projected points.

Draft Notes
  • With five defenses already off the board, TripleDeacon foresaw a run and got in early, taking Los Angeles with the No. 189 pick. In the subsequent round, six more defensive units were snatched up.
  • Whether by good fortune or well-planned strategy, TripleDeacon have staggered their bye weeks very well. They don't have more than two players on a bye in any given week.
  • According to projected records, TripleDeacon have one of the hardest schedules in Pit League 1 this season with a strength of schedule rated as the 2nd-most difficult. But all is not lost. No matter how tough your opponents are, the better team will prevail. Fantasy football rewards those who put in the work, so be sure to stay up-to-date with each week's injuries and their repercussions.
  • Even with remaining openings at QB, RB, and TE in the 2nd round, TripleDeacon drafted WR Justin Jefferson at No. 29, filling the WR/RB/TE flex position rather than a position of higher importance. They were the earliest squad to fill a flex position.
Gooner Analysis
Our newest member to the league went all out with his draft and the potential gains from his strategy are enormous. The only player to go WR-WR in the first two rounds, TripleDeac has an unbelievable WR corps and still managed to fill holes in the rest of his roster. Gus Edwards could be a great 3rd round get at RB if Baltimore give him the touches that were assumed to be going to Dobbins, and Kareem Hunt continues to be the most overqualified handcuff in the NFL. But the crown jewel of TripleDeac's draft and maybe the most important pick of the entire draft was his taking Michael Thomas in the 7th round. Thomas' last year and a half has been troubled at best and he's lost some of the luster he had when he was setting records for targets and receptions two years ago, but make no mistake, when he is on the field he is still an elite WR. And if he can get back on the field even halfway through the season, TripleDeac will have three WRs that could make reasonable claims to be top-5 WRs in the league. High risk, high potential reward, precisely what a new member picking from the 12th spot should do. Excellent work, TripleDeac.

Barca
Overall Pick: 1st
Yahoo Grade: B

Starting Roster
QB: Murray
RB: McCaffrey
WR: Thielen
TE: Henry
FLEX: Claypool
FLEX: Chase
DST: Washington

Yahoo Analysis
Draft Summary
Blessed with the first pick, Barça had an outstanding performance. The team is notably strong at the running back position, as Christian McCaffrey are expected to combine for the highest point total of all starting RB groups in the league. Barça are predicted to finish 4th in Pit League 1 with a record of 11-3 (1,658 points).

Most Improved: Christian McCaffrey
The RB seems poised to take the biggest leap over last year of all the offensive selections by Barça. After a season in which he rushed for 225 yards and 5 TDs and recorded 17 receptions for 149 yards and 1 TD in 3 games, totaling 82 fantasy points, McCaffrey is projected to score 407 fantasy points with the Panthers, a 397% jump. That makes him a valuable No. 1 RB for this squad.

Regression Candidate: Adam Thielen
The WR ought to regress the most from last year among the offensive selections by Barça. He's essentially the anti-Christian McCaffrey in that respect. Following a season in which he grabbed 74 balls for 925 yards and 14 TDs, totaling 217 fantasy points, Thielen is projected to score 214 fantasy points with the Vikings, a 1% drop. That would still make him the No. 1 WR for this squad.

Draft Notes
  • Week 7 will be a rude awakening for Barça, as they have three players on a bye (Adam Thielen, Chase Claypool, and Joshua Palmer). On the bright side, your Week 7 opponent -- Fighting Cocks -- will also be tackling their worst bye week with five players on the sideline.
  • Based on projections, Barça have one of the toughest schedules in the late stages in Pit League 1 with a second-half strength of schedule that rates as the 2nd-most difficult. In spite of that, for the season as a whole, Barça have drawn a fairly balanced schedule ranked as the 6th hardest.
  • It's clear that Barça focused on scooping up elite talent, having put together a relatively front-loaded squad. The top players from each position, collectively, are quite powerful, forecasted to tally the most points in Pit League 1. The rest of the roster, on the other hand, is a bit less inspiring, as they're expected to put up a point total ranking in the middle of the pack.
  • Even with an opening at TE in the 4th round, Barça chose WR Chase Claypool with the 80th pick, filling the WR/RB/TE flex position at the expense of a higher leverage position.
Gooner Analysis
I am probably higher on Barca's draft than Yahoo, I think it's tough to be as low as a B when you have the 1st overall pick, but I understand some potential concerns. CMC is CMC and should lead the league in non-QB points pending good health. Thielen isn't the ideal WR1, especially in a Minnesota offense that begins and ends with what Dalvin Cook can do on a weekly basis, but he should still see a healthy amount of targets. Kyler Murray is a better fantasy QB than a real QB and should do very well for Barca over the course of the year despite playing in the league's toughest division. After the top 3 though, Barca's team relies on hitting or overperforming projections. Chase Claypool unfortunately plays for the league's worst arm as Big Ben deteriorates before our very eyes, but will be hopeful that pure volume can get him back to a top-20 WR finish like last year. And an even bigger question mark is how Ja'Marr Chase will fit into the Cincy offense after a year off and with two stellar WRs flanking him. If those two WRs hit, Barca is in good shape, but only time will tell.

JAMESSOKOLOVEEDAREM
Overall Pick: 20th
Yahoo Grade: B-

Starting Roster
QB: Brady
RB: Carson
WR: A.J. Brown
TE: Everett
FLEX: Mostert
FLEX: Dillon
DST: Miami

Yahoo Analysis
Draft Summary
If you can't handle the heat, get out of the draft room. Edarem wilted under the pressure of this draft. Picking No. 20 overall, they were clearly overmatched. Behind multiple 49ers in the early rounds (Raheem Mostert and Trey Sermon), Edarem are predicted to finish 16th in Pit League 1 with a record of 4-10 (1,474 points).

Best Pick: TY Hilton
Edarem netted a great late-round bargain with the selection of Hilton in the 12th round, about six rounds later than his ADP of 127. Following a season in which he hauled in 56 balls for 762 yards and 5 TDs, totaling 136 fantasy points, Hilton is projected to score 153 fantasy points with the Colts. That makes him a valuable No. 2 WR for this squad.

Regression Candidate: Giovani Bernard
Of the 12 players chosen by Edarem, Bernard ought to decline the most from last year among the players on the offensive side of the ball. Coming off a season in which he ran for 416 yards and 3 TDs and hauled in 47 balls for 355 yards and 3 TDs, totaling 137 fantasy points, Bernard is projected to score 119 fantasy points with the Buccaneers, a 13% decline. That makes him the No. 5 RB for this squad.

Draft Notes
  • Edarem are particularly thin at wide receiver, drafting fewer than any other team in the league with only two, trailing the league average of 4.3.
  • Week 9 will be a rude awakening for Edarem, as they have four players on a bye (Tom Brady, Chris Carson, Gerald Everett, and Giovani Bernard). Manning’s Miracles, your Week 9 opponent, won't be quite as short-handed with only one player (Jamaal Williams) on a bye week.
  • Based on projected records, Edarem have one of the least daunting schedules in Pit League 1 this season with a strength of schedule rated as the 2nd easiest.
  • Despite an opening at TE in the 4th round, Edarem chose RB Raheem Mostert with the 61st pick, filling the WR/RB/TE flex position rather than a position of greater importance.
Gooner Analysis
I will not punch downwards as Edarem was in a tough position picking 20th. But there was definitely value left on the table after the first two rounds. AJ Brown and Chris Carson will both be solid to great contributors and form a solid top line for Edarem's roster, but the wheels came off on the Rounds 3/4 turn. Edarem appears to have wanted to make sure he secured a QB after Round 3 saw six QBs come off the board leading to his 60th overall pick, but drafting Tom Brady seems a risk that wasn't wholly necessary. Maybe Brady continues to make a fool of us all and produces another top-10 fantasy season, but there were good options still on the board for filling other positions (Pitts and Andrews at TE came off the board in Round 4; Davis, Hunt, Henderson, D. Harris at RB for example). Similarly, Edarem drafted Raheem Mostert one pick later who comes into the season with a tenuous hold on the starting job in SF. Edarem did cover himself well by drafting Trey Sermon one round later and grabbing another good handcuff in AJ Dillon. And his drafting Jameis Winston in Round 8 gives him an underrated QB2 if Brady does finally show signs of being mortal. But no WRs drafted between Round 1 and Round 12 is concerning, especially with TY Hilton out for the first few weeks of the season on the IR. It's possible Edarem could turn some of his RB and QB depth into a package for a WR2, but just based on draft night, it might be difficult for our defending champ to repeat.

Disco Kid
Overall Pick: 17th
Yahoo Grade: B-

Starting Roster
QB: Jackson
RB: Gibson
WR: Ridley
TE: Engram
FLEX: M. Davis
FLEX: An. Brown
DST: New Orleans

Yahoo Analysis
Draft Summary
If Disco Kid handles adversity during the season the way they did in this draft, it's going to be a challenging year. Picking No. 17 overall, they were clearly overmatched. Behind multiple Falcons in the early rounds (Calvin Ridley and Mike Davis), Disco Kid are projected to finish 15th in Pit League 1 with a record of 5-9 (1,491 points).

Best Pick: Evan Engram
What a tremendous late-round bargain for Disco Kid, who got Engram in the 9th round, about two rounds later than his ADP of 133. Following a season in which he snagged 63 passes for 654 yards and 1 TD, totaling 110 fantasy points, Engram is projected to score 114 fantasy points with the Giants. That makes him a valuable No. 1 TE for this squad.

Regression Candidate: New Orleans DST
There were 12 players drafted by Disco Kid, and the Saints seem poised to have the most trouble living up to last year. After a season in which they totaled 126 fantasy points, New Orleans is projected to score 102 fantasy points, a 19% drop.

Draft Notes
  • Disco Kid face a tough task in Week 6 when they have five players on a bye (Calvin Ridley, Mike Davis, Adam Trautman, Tevin Coleman, and New Orleans). Barça, your Week 6 opponent, won't be nearly as hamstrung with only one player (Tre'Quan Smith) getting the week off.
  • For the second half of the season, Disco Kid face an uphill battle in Pit League 1 according to projected records with a late-season strength of schedule that rates as the most difficult. Despite that, for the full season, Disco Kid face a fairly balanced schedule rated as the 10th toughest.
  • Disco Kid are counting on veteran leadership to rein in youthful exuberance, assembling a balanced lineup with an average of 4.9 years of NFL experience, ranking in the middle of the pack for the league. To emphasize that moderation, they didn't pick any of the 25 rookies drafted.
  • Despite an unfilled position at TE in the 4th round, Disco Kid drafted RB Mike Davis at No. 64, filling the WR/RB/TE flex position instead of a higher leverage position.
Gooner Analysis
Despite being my sworn enemy, I disagree quite a bit with Yahoo's grade. I really like what Disco Kid was able to do with his draft. 17th is not an easy slot to draft from, but his first 4 rounds are textbook in getting great value from a low draft slot. Antonio Gibson is primed to take a leap this season with an upgraded Washington offense, he should threaten for top-5 RB numbers if healthy. Calvin Ridley was the big winner of Julioi Jones leaving Atlanta as the only real addition to the offense to take those Julio targets is a rookie TE/WR hybrid who may need some time to get up to full speed in that offense. Lamar Jackson should bounce back from a relatively tough year last season and be back to potential MVP numbers. And Mike Davis is one of my favorite fantasy players this season; the Atlanta backfield is dire outside of him, he will get an uncontested 20 touches a game. It may not be efficient, it may not be pretty, but those are bellcow RB numbers these days and getting that in the 4th round is excellent. Disco Kid also waited on TE and came out with more great value in Evan Engram. Engram may have left us wanting more over the last couple of seasons, but in a year where NYG is going to have to prove that Daniel Jones is ready to be a top-level NFL QB, having his clear TE1 on your roster isn't a bad idea. And if doesn't work out, Adam Trautman in the last round is a good TE lottery pick that could take off if the Saints can keep Jameis on the straight and narrow. Really good work from Disco Kid, I think he's got a great shot at the playoffs this season.

DEACHAWK
Overall Pick: 6th
Yahoo Grade: C+

Starting Roster
QB: Rodgers
RB: Elliott
WR: Woods
TE: Hooper
FLEX: D. Harris
FLEX: Jeudy
DST: Buffalo

Yahoo Analysis
Draft Summary
DEACHAWK turned a solid draft slot (No. 6 overall) into a respectable performance. The team is notably strong at the running back position, as Ezekiel Elliott are slated to combine for the 5th-highest point total of all starting RB groups in the league. DEACHAWK are predicted to finish 9-5 (1,495 points), which would place them 8th in Pit League 1.

Biggest Steal: Elijah Moore
What an outstanding late-round value for DEACHAWK, who selected Moore with the 15th pick in the 8th round, about 26 spots later than his ADP of 129. Moore is projected to score 188 fantasy points with the Jets, which makes him a valuable No. 3 WR for this squad.

Regression Candidate: Aaron Rodgers
Of the 12 players selected by DEACHAWK, Rodgers seems poised to take the biggest step back from last year among the offensive group. After a season in which he threw for 4,299 yards and 48 TDs with 5 interceptions, totaling 388 fantasy points, Rodgers is projected to score 368 fantasy points with the Packers, a 5% decrease. That still makes him the No. 1 QB for this squad.

Draft Notes
  • DEACHAWK face a tough task in Week 7 when they have four players on a bye (Ezekiel Elliott, Zack Moss, Buffalo, and Carlos Hyde). Up Schitt's Creek, your Week 7 opponent, won't be quite as limited with only two players (Trevor Lawrence and Keenan Allen) on the sideline.
  • According to projected records, DEACHAWK have one of the least challenging schedules in the early-going in Pit League 1 with a first-half strength of schedule ranked as the 3rd easiest. Even so, for the full season, DEACHAWK should expect a fairly balanced path rated as the 7th toughest.
  • With the 3rd-oldest group in the league at an average of 5.5 years of NFL experience, DEACHAWK must prioritize age before beauty. Even so, they still selected two rookies (Elijah Moore and Nico Collins), the 3rd-highest total in the league. In total, there were 25 rookies selected over the course of the Pit League 1 draft.
  • Despite an opening at TE in the 4th round, DEACHAWK drafted RB Damien Harris with the 75th pick, filling the WR/RB/TE flex position rather than a position of greater importance.
Gooner Analysis
This draft grade doesn't make any sense. Our returning top scorer from last season, DEACHAWK appears to have put together another team capable of steamrolling to weekly top scores and a high playoff seed. From top to bottom, this roster is one of my favorites as DEACHAWK made great picks at great times and minimized his risk, critical for someone who had to delve into the dregs of the league last year just to put a healthy roster out each week. Zeke may not ever hit his highest of highs again, but he is still a solid RB1 and will be the go-to RB in possibly the league's highest octane offense. Robert Woods is a great high-floor WR who consistently puts together top-20 WR years. And though Aaron Rodgers may not throw 48 TDs against 5 INTs again, with the extra game this season and more motivation than most humans know what to do with, Rodgers should still post elite QB numbers. DEACHAWK has potentially the best FLEX tandem in the league behind Damien Harris and Jerry Jeudy, and he was able to find great value on his bench in the late rounds with both rookie fliers and veteran lottery tickets. A really good draft, I don't understand why Yahoo is so low on it.

Sleepy
Overall Pick: 19th
Yahoo Grade: C+

Starting Roster

RB: Gaskin
WR: Metcalf
TE: Waller
FLEX: M. Jones Jr.
FLEX: Michel
DST: Green Bay

Yahoo Analysis
Draft Summary
If you can't handle the heat, get out of the draft room. Sleepy wilted under the pressure of this draft. Picking No. 19 overall, they were clearly overmatched. Some good news: the team is notably strong at the receiver position, as DK Metcalf are expected to combine for the 5th-highest point total of all starting WR groups in the league. Sleepy are predicted to finish 17th in Pit League 1 with a record of 3-11 (1,473 points).

Most Likely to Improve: Bryan Edwards
The WR is slated to show the most improvement over last year of all the offensive picks by Sleepy. Following a rookie season in which he had 11 receptions for 193 yards and 1 TD in 9 games, totaling 31 fantasy points, Edwards is projected to score 137 fantasy points with the Raiders, a 344% improvement. That makes him a valuable No. 4 WR for this squad.

Reach Pick: Marvin Jones Jr.
You may have gotten a bit ahead of yourself when deciding to choose Jones Jr. with the 19th pick in the 5th round, about 28 slots earlier than his ADP of 127. Projected to score 179 fantasy points this season with the Jaguars, he will need to outperform expectations to top last year when he snagged 76 balls for 978 yards and 9 TDs to earn 190 fantasy points. Jones Jr. will slot in as the No. 2 WR for Sleepy, based on projected points.

Draft Notes
  • Fashionably late? You became the last manager in the league to draft a running back with your selection of Myles Gaskin (No. 59 overall).
  • Sleepy face a tough challenge in Week 14 when they have four players on a bye (Jalen Hurts, Myles Gaskin, Jalen Reagor, and Malcolm Brown). JManslow, your Week 14 opponent, won't be quite as hamstrung with only two players (DeVante Parker and Rhamondre Stevenson) on the sideline.
  • With a strength of schedule rated as the 5th-most difficult according to projected records, Sleepy have one of the toughest schedules in Pit League 1 this season. But that doesn't mean you're destined to lose. Strength of schedule is just a number. There are countless paths to improve during the season for those who remain involved.
  • Sleepy waited until all of their individual offensive positions were filled before selecting WR Marvin Jones Jr. at No. 99 as the first flex player on the roster.
Gooner Analysis
One of two players to start the draft WR/TE, Sleepy snagged two excellent pass catchers in DK and Waller to start his night. From there, Sleepy did a decent job from his tough draft position to find value where he could. Myles Gaskin should give him a solid, if not spectacular option at RB and Jalen Hurts has the potential to be a really good fantasy QB if Philly doesn't sabotage themselves to prevent it from happening. I don't love either the Jones Jr. or the Michel picks though I can understand where the board was at and why they were taken, but I really like the Reagor pick, especially if Philly doesn't sabotage Hurts. At the end of the day, the situation in Philly likely will dictate how Sleepy's season goes. If Philly lets Hurts be Hurts, I think Sleepy could have a solid season. If Philly pulls the plug early, though, Sleepy will have to rely on the talents of Daniel Jones to carry his team. And as well all know, NEVER trust someone who went to Duke.

Up Schitt's Creek
Overall Pick: 9th
Yahoo Grade: C+

Starting Roster
QB: Lawrence
RB: Chubb
WR: Allen
TE: Goedert
FLEX: Godwin
FLEX: Ruggs III
DST: Indianapolis

Yahoo Analysis
Draft Summary
Up Schitt's Creek turned a solid draft slot (No. 9 overall) into a respectable performance. Up Schitt's Creek are projected to finish 8-6 (1,517 points), which would place them 9th in Pit League 1.

Best Pick: Ronald Jones II
What a nice mid-round bargain for Up Schitt's Creek, who picked up Jones II at No. 129, about three rounds later than his ADP of 81. Coming off a season in which he rushed for 978 yards and 7 TDs and recorded 28 receptions for 165 yards and 1 TD in 14 games, totaling 172 fantasy points, Jones II is projected to score 201 fantasy points with the Buccaneers. That makes him a valuable No. 2 RB for this squad.

Stretch Pick: Trevor Lawrence
We're going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you stepped away right before selecting Lawrence at No. 72, about two rounds earlier than his ADP of 122. Lawrence is projected to score 316 fantasy points this season with the Jaguars. Lawrence will slot in as the No. 1 QB for Up Schitt's Creek, based on projections.

Draft Notes
  • Up Schitt's Creek face a tough challenge in Week 14 when they have four players on a bye (Mac Jones, Nelson Agholor, Dallas Goedert, and Indianapolis). Your Week 14 opponent, Oblong Pickle, will be operating at full strength with no players on the sideline.
  • Based on projections, Up Schitt's Creek have drawn one of the least challenging schedules in Pit League 1 this season with a strength of schedule rated as the 3rd easiest.
  • Whatever the plan heading into the draft, it surely didn't involve amassing such a small group of stars, as Up Schitt's Creek put together a bottom-heavy group of players. Collectively, the top players from each position are slated to score the 3rd-fewest points in the league. The rest of the roster, fortunately, is expected to do the heavy lifting and put up a point total that ranks 1st.
  • In spite of remaining openings at QB and TE in the 3rd round, Up Schitt's Creek selected WR Chris Godwin with the 49th pick, filling the WR/RB/TE flex position instead of a position of higher importance.
Gooner Analysis
Another puzzling grade from Yahoo. I really like Mrs. I/O's draft, though there is one long-haired rookie QB caveat to everything. Chubb should be a great RB1 for her and Keenan Allen is a high-floor, high-ceiling WR1 choice. And I really like Mrs. I/O going against the QB run in Round 3 to grab Chris Godwin as a flex, potentially getting two WR1 caliber players in her starting lineup. But in Round 4, Mrs. I/O made the decision that will likely determine the outcome of her season and drafted Trevor Lawrence. If he pans out and plays to his potential, we should see Mrs. I/O in the playoffs with ease. If Urban Meyer can't get out of his own way and tanks Lawrence's rookie year, it could be a long season. And if Mrs. I/O didn't think that was a large enough risk, she went out and drafted another rookie in Mac Jones to serve as her QB2. Youth is no guarantee of innovation, but Mrs. I/O is hopeful that it is a guarantee of playoffs. The rest of her draft was solid enough, if a bit light on RB depth. But with her top end WR corps, should a move need to be made, she has some wiggle room to get another RB on board. I'm excited to see how her season pans out.

JManslow
Overall Pick: 15th
Yahoo Grade: C+

Starting Roster
QB: Stafford
RB: Edmonds
WR: Diggs
TE: Kittle
FLEX: Boyd
FLEX: Drake
DST: Atlanta

Yahoo Analysis
Draft Summary
JManslow are not a super team, but they could potentially sneak into the playoffs assuming things break the right way. After picking No. 15 overall, the team is projected to land in 14th place in Pit League 1. On the bright side, the team is especially strong at the wide receiver position, as Stefon Diggs are expected to combine for the 3rd-highest point total of all starting WR groups in the league. JManslow are in store for a mark of 6-8 (1,477 points) with the current roster.

Most Improved: Jimmy Garoppolo
Of all the offensive picks by JManslow, Garoppolo is prepared to take the biggest jump from last year. Coming off a season in which he threw for 1,096 yards and 7 TDs with 5 INTs in 6 games, totaling 69 fantasy points, Garoppolo is projected to score 301 fantasy points with the 49ers, a 334% improvement. That makes him a valuable No. 2 QB for this squad.

Reach Pick: Matthew Stafford
There are millions of self-declared fantasy experts these days, so there's no telling who inspired you to draft Stafford at No. 66, about 30 picks earlier than his ADP of 96. You could be onto something, though. Projected to score 333 fantasy points this season with the Rams, he appears set to surpass last year when he threw for 4,084 yards and 26 TDs with 10 INTs to earn 271 fantasy points. Stafford will slot in as the No. 1 QB for JManslow, based on projections.

Draft Notes
  • JManslow are in for a rude awakening in Week 6 when they have three players on a bye (Jimmy Garoppolo, George Kittle, and Atlanta). DEACHAWK, your Week 6 opponent, won't be quite as encumbered with only one player (Elijah Moore) getting the week off.
  • According to projected records, JManslow face one of the lightest schedules in Pit League 1 this season with a strength of schedule rated as the 4th easiest.
  • With the 5th-oldest group in the league at an average of 5.3 years of NFL experience, JManslow are relying on veteran leadership. Despite that, they still selected two rookies (Rhamondre Stevenson and Chuba Hubbard), the 3rd-highest total in the league. In total, there were 25 rookies selected over the course of the Pit League 1 draft.
  • JManslow selected all of their individual offensive positions before utilizing the WR/RB/TE flex position, drafting WR Tyler Boyd with the 15th pick of the 5th round as the first flex player on the squad.
Gooner Analysis
Another rather harsh grade from Yahoo. I think JMan had a decent draft, though RB has the potential to be a long-term issue depending on how the situation turns out in Arizona. Our second league member to start the draft WR/TE, JMan followed the same template as Sleepy did and picked up Chase Edmonds and Matthew Stafford in Rounds 3/4. If Edmonds can pull enough touches despite the arrival of James Conner, he could pan out very well for JMan. But if he can't find those touches, JMan's RB depth could put him in a difficult spot come midseason. On the other hand, Stafford's arrival in LA finally gives Sean McVay the big armed QB that he wants to unlock the offense's full potential, and Stafford is primed to have the best season of his career if he can stay upright and healthy. Tyler Boyd at #95 is just unbelievable value, I love that pick so much. He has the potential to be a WR1 caliber player and to get him so late was a great job by JMan. Ultimately, JMan's season is a fairly simple one to project: if Edmonds pans out and he has no RB scoring issues, JMan should do very well. If Edmonds cannot get the RB1 volume necessary, JMan could struggle. Hopefully they show Cardinals games in Raleigh.

Draft Summary
Empanadas y Arepas parlayed a solid draft slot (No. 5 overall) into a modest performance. Empanadas y Arepas are predicted to finish 7-7 (1,501 points), which would place them 10th in Pit League 1.

Most Likely to Improve: Saquon Barkley
Of all the offensive selections by Empanadas y Arepas, Barkley is expected to show the most improvement over last year. After a season in which he ran 19 times for 34 yards in 2 games, totaling 12 fantasy points, Barkley is projected to score 287 fantasy points with the Giants, a 2,216% jump. That makes him a valuable No. 1 RB for this squad.

Reach Pick: Tua Tagovailoa
Either you know something that your opponents don't or you got a bit carried away with the selection of Tagovailoa with the 5th pick of the 5th round, about 40 spots earlier than his ADP of 125. Then again, you may be onto something? Projected to score 303 fantasy points this season with the Dolphins, he appears poised to outperform his rookie year when he threw for 1,814 yards and 11 TDs with 5 INTs in 10 games, totaling 140 fantasy points. Tagovailoa will slot in as the No. 1 QB for Empanadas y Arepas, based on projected points.

Draft Notes
  • Week 7 will be a rude awakening for Empanadas y Arepas, as they have four players on a bye (CeeDee Lamb, Diontae Johnson, Cole Beasley, and Jared Cook). Perhaps leveling the playing field, your Week 7 opponent -- Manning’s Miracles -- will also be confronting their worst bye week with three players (Dalvin Cook, Amari Cooper, and Dawson Knox) on the sideline.
  • Going off projections, Empanadas y Arepas have one of the best schedules late in the season in Pit League 1 with a second-half strength of schedule that ranks as the 5th easiest. Despite that, for the season as a whole, Empanadas y Arepas should expect a pretty fair path rated as the 15th toughest.
  • Empanadas y Arepas have compiled a fairly old lineup with an average of 5.3 years of NFL experience, ranking as the 5th-oldest group in the league. Despite that, they still selected one rookie (Kenneth Gainwell). In total, there were 25 rookies selected over the course of the Pit League 1 draft.
  • In spite of open slots at QB and TE in the 3rd round, Empanadas y Arepas chose WR Diontae Johnson at No. 45, filling the WR/RB/TE flex position at the expense of a position of higher need. They were the fifth squad to make their first flex pick.
Gooner Analysis
I think Mr. I/O's draft is the highest variance so far. So many ifs surround his team, I could see him as a top 3 team or a bottom 3 team pretty easily either way. Saquon falling to him at #5 is really tough to pass up (IF #1), if Saquon can come back and be the RB he was pre-knee injury, he's a great get at #5. (IFS #2 & 3) If CeeDee can breakout and be the guy for Dallas, he could be the highest scoring WR in the league, and if Diontae Johnson can overcome the arm strength issues that seemingly plague Big Ben nowadays, Mr. I/O's WR corps is among the strongest in the league. (IF #4) If Logan Thomas actually is as good as the back half of last season suggests and can mesh well with Fitzmagic, he could put in a TE season only beaten by the elite 3 of Kelce, Waller, and Kittle. (IF #5) If Tua is the QB that teams were tanking for and can show it this season, he's an absolute steal in the 5th round. All this being said, if the above goes the other way and doesn't pan out, Mr. I/O could be ruing not taking some safer options in the draft. But nothing ventured, nothing gained, I imagine Mr. I/O is savvy enough to navigate the high risk his draft presents.

Draft Summary
Blessed with a solid draft position (No. 8 overall), expectations were high for Screamindemon3. Then they drafted, and those expectations faded quickly, as this team looks to be headed for an unexceptional 13th-place finish in Pit League 1. Screamindemon3 are projected to post a record of 6-8 (1,478 points).

Best Pick: David Johnson
Screamindemon3 netted a nice late-round bargain when they selected Johnson at No. 153, about three rounds later than his ADP of 109. Coming off a season in which he rushed for 691 yards and 6 TDs and had 33 catches for 314 yards and 2 TDs in 12 games, totaling 163 fantasy points, Johnson is projected to score 123 fantasy points with the Texans. That makes him a valuable No. 2 RB for this squad.

Most Likely to Improve: Kenny Golladay
Usually, this is when we would tell you how you got a little bit too fancy during the draft. But you never really got out of line and overreached for a player. So we'll focus on more good news. Of all the offensive picks by Screamindemon3, Golladay is expected to demonstrate the most improvement over last year. Coming off a season in which he snagged 20 passes for 338 yards and 2 TDs over 5 games, totaling 56 fantasy points, Golladay is projected to score 198 fantasy points with the Giants, a 256% gain, making him the No. 3 WR for this squad.

Draft Notes
  • Screamindemon3 face a tough task in Week 7 when they have three players on a bye (Ben Roethlisberger, Austin Ekeler, and Minnesota). On the bright side, YoungBuck, your Week 7 opponent, will be facing a similar quandary with two players (Justin Herbert and Emmanuel Sanders) on a bye.
  • With a strength of schedule ranked as the 3rd-most difficult based on projected records, Screamindemon3 have one of the toughest schedules in Pit League 1 this season. That doesn't mean you're destined to lose, though. You can't control strength of schedule, but you can control how much work you put in. Fantasy football rewards managers who put in the work, so be sure to keep track of your top players' health.
  • Screamindemon3 appear to have prioritized age before beauty, putting together a squad with an average of 5.3 years of NFL experience, ranking as the 5th-oldest group in the league. In spite of that, they still selected two rookies (Michael Carter and Dyami Brown), the 3rd-highest total of first-year players in the league. In total, there were 25 rookies selected over the course of the Pit League 1 draft.
  • Even with unfilled slots at QB and TE in the 3rd round, Screamindemon3 selected WR DJ Moore with the 48th pick, filling the WR/RB/TE flex position at the expense of a position of higher importance.
Gooner Analysis
Another pretty harsh Yahoo grade, though I neither love nor hate SD3's draft. Ekeler and Robinson II are a solid 1/2 punch and SD3 did well to snag DJ Moore and Golladay for his flex spots. But I don't totally love going for Hockenson in Round 4, especially with such a downgrade at QB and a new coaching regime that likely will emphasize running the ball over spreading it around. And I've made my feelings on the remaining value that Big Ben has in my estimation, so that is what it is. But after Round 7, I do like SD3's moves to grab David Johnson (someone has to get fantasy points in Houston) and solid veteran WR fliers in Jamison Crowder and Christian Kirk. Overall, solid enough but I don't know that SD3 will have the overall scoring punch to really threaten this season.

Draft Summary
Coming into the draft with a solid draft position (No. 4 overall), expectations were high for Lone Wolf. After drafting, though, those expectations faded instantly, as this team looks to be headed for an unexceptional 12th-place finish in Pit League 1. Lone Wolf are predicted to post a record of 6-8 (1,505 points).

Biggest Steal: JD McKissic
What a tremendous late-round value for Lone Wolf, who selected McKissic in the 8th round, about 27 picks later than his ADP of 130. Coming off a season in which he rushed for 365 yards and 1 TD and hauled in 80 balls for 589 yards and 2 TDs, totaling 151 fantasy points, McKissic is projected to score 113 fantasy points with the Football Team. That makes him a valuable No. 3 RB for this squad.

Going out on a Limb: Michael Gallup
We're going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you stepped away right before selecting Gallup in the 4th round, about 42 slots earlier than his ADP of 119. Then again, maybe you're onto something? Projected to score 190 fantasy points this season with the Cowboys, he looks set to top last year when he snagged 59 balls for 843 yards and 5 TDs, totaling 144 fantasy points. Gallup will slot in as the No. 4 WR for Lone Wolf, based on projected points.

Draft Notes
  • Week 9 could be a rude awakening for Lone Wolf, as they have four players on a bye (Russell Wilson, Mike Evans, Leonard Fournette, and J.D. McKissic). Your Week 9 opponent, Screamindemon3, won't be nearly as encumbered with only two players (T.J. Hockenson and Dyami Brown) on the sideline.
  • With a strength of schedule that ranks as the 4th-most difficult based on projected records, Lone Wolf have one of the hardest schedules in Pit League 1 this season. But that doesn't mean you're destined to lose. Strength of schedule is just a number. Fantasy football rewards managers who put in the work, so be sure to monitor your top players' health.
  • With the 5th-oldest group in the league at an average of 5.3 years of NFL experience, Lone Wolf seem to prioritize age before beauty. Case in point: they didn't pick any of the 25 rookies drafted.
  • Even with an opening at TE in the 4th round, Lone Wolf selected WR Michael Gallup with the 77th pick, filling the WR/RB/TE flex position rather than a position of greater importance.
Gooner Analysis
This Yahoo grade is just mean. Other than one glaring hole in his roster, Lone Wolf did an excellent job this draft (though still 2nd place in his household). Derrick Henry should continue to be a freight train masquerading as an NFL RB this season, Mike Evans should have another solid season in Tampa, and Russell Wilson is pretty much guaranteed another top-10 QB finish. Wolf found solid RB/WR depth in the later rounds and should do well on bye weeks as they come up. But we do have to talk about the one position that will be a problem and require deft dealings to fix. Dan Arnold is a fine sleeper and it's possible that Carolina will prove us all wrong and turn him into a fantasy starting caliber TE. But it is not an ideal situation to have going into Week 1 and Wolf will have to hope that Arnold takes a massive leap in production with his new team to justify him being the only TE on his roster.

Blessed with a solid draft position (No. 2 overall), expectations were high for Manning’s Miracles. While Dalvin Cook are expected to combine for the 3rd-highest point total of all starting RB groups in the league, Manning’s Miracles are predicted to post a record of 6-8 (1,506 points).

Biggest Steal: Tyler Higbee
What a nice mid-round bargain for Manning’s Miracles, who got Higbee in the 6th round, about two rounds later than his ADP of 72. After a season in which he recorded 44 catches for 521 yards and 5 TDs, totaling 106 fantasy points, Higbee is projected to score 156 fantasy points with the Rams. That makes him a valuable No. 1 TE for this squad.

Stretch Pick: Matt Ryan
There are thousands of self-declared fantasy experts nowadays, so there's no telling who led you to select Ryan in the 5th round, about 41 spots earlier than his ADP of 123. You may be onto something, though. Projected to score 311 fantasy points this season with the Falcons, he seems poised to top last year when he threw for 4,581 yards and 26 TDs with 11 INTs, earning 293 fantasy points. Ryan will slot in as the No. 1 QB for Manning’s Miracles, according to projections.

In total, there were 25 rookies selected over the course of the Pit League 1 draft.
  • Despite offensive openings at QB, WR, and TE in the 2nd round, Manning’s Miracles selected RB Miles Sanders at No. 39, filling the WR/RB/TE flex position rather than a position of greater importance. They were the third squad to fill a flex position.

Draft Summary
Oblong Pickle couldn't capitalize on the No. 10 overall pick, drafting a roster that will struggle to rack up wins. Opponents will enjoy defeating them on a weekly basis, as this team is projected to finish 19th in Pit League 1. Behind multiple Browns in the early rounds (Odell Beckham Jr. and Baker Mayfield), Oblong Pickle are predicted to finish with a record of 2-12 (1,428 points).

Best Pick: Blake Jarwin
Oblong Pickle notched a great late-round value when they chose Jarwin at No. 210, about five rounds later than his ADP of 125. Coming off a season in which he racked up 1 reception for 12 yards in 1 game, totaling 2 fantasy points, Jarwin is projected to score 119 fantasy points with the Cowboys. That makes him a valuable No. 1 TE for this squad.

Going out on a Limb: Javonte Williams
Are you willing to reveal your source? We'd love to learn what prompted the selection of Williams at No. 50, about 34 slots earlier than his ADP of 84. Williams is projected to score 171 fantasy points this season with the Broncos. Based on projections, Williams will slot in as the No. 3 RB for Oblong Pickle to begin the season.

Draft Notes
  • Fashionably late? With the selection of TE Blake Jarwin (No. 210 overall), you became the last manager in the league to draft a tight end.
  • Week 13 could be a rude awakening for Oblong Pickle, as they have four players on a bye (Baker Mayfield, Davante Adams, Odell Beckham Jr., and Terrace Marshall Jr.). JManslow, your Week 13 opponent, won't be nearly as limited with only one player (Chuba Hubbard) on the sideline.
  • According to projected records, Oblong Pickle have one of the most challenging schedules early on in Pit League 1 with a first-half strength of schedule ranked as the 3rd-most difficult. In spite of that, for the season as a whole, Oblong Pickle face a fairly balanced path ranked as the 8th toughest.
  • In spite of remaining openings at QB and TE in the 3rd round, Oblong Pickle chose RB Javonte Williams at No. 50, filling the WR/RB/TE flex position at the expense of a position of higher need.
Gooner Analysis
Yahoo is an asshole, this is in no way a D-grade draft. Pickle does have some weak spots, particularly at RB. But Davante Adams will be a stud, and I like the Baker/OBJ stack more than most, I think Baker has a chance to be a top-10 QB this season as Cleveland continues to progress as an offense. If it doesn't work out, I like Justin Fields after he inevitably takes over around Week 5, and grabbing Blake Jarwin in Round 11 was a stroke of genius if he ends up being the TE1 in Dallas. But if he doesn't, Pickle could see similar issues to Lone Wolf in trying to figure out a way to prevent TE from being a scoring blackhole each week.

Yahoo Analysis
Draft Summary
Redwing42's Team was handed a solid draft position, and they coughed it up. Even though they had the No. 3 overall pick, they're projected to finish 18th in Pit League 1. Some good news: the team is particularly tough at the running back position, as Alvin Kamara are expected to combine for the 2nd-highest point total of all starting RB groups in the league. Redwing42's Team are looking at a final record of 2-12 (1,454 points).

Most Likely to Improve: Cole Kmet
Of all the offensive selections by Redwing42's Team, Kmet ought to take the biggest jump from last year. Following a rookie season in which he recorded 28 receptions for 243 yards and 2 TDs in 14 games, totaling 48 fantasy points, Kmet is projected to score 111 fantasy points with the Bears, a 130% improvement. That makes him a valuable No. 1 TE for this squad.

Going out on a Limb: Joe Burrow
You might have gotten a bit too excited when making the decision to choose Burrow in the 4th round, about 36 slots earlier than his ADP of 114. Granted, you could be onto something. Projected to score 329 fantasy points this season with the Bengals, he looks poised to take a step forward from his rookie year when he threw for 2,688 yards and 13 TDs with 5 INTs in 10 games to earn 179 fantasy points. Burrow will slot in as the No. 1 QB for Redwing42's Team, according to projected points.

Draft Notes
  • Redwing42's Team face a tough challenge in Week 6 when they have three players on a bye (Alvin Kamara, Trey Lance, and Latavius Murray). Your Week 6 opponent, Oblong Pickle, will be operating at full strength without any players on the sideline.
  • For the first half of the season, Redwing42's Team have one of the least challenging schedules in Pit League 1 based on projections with an early-season strength of schedule rated as the 4th easiest. In spite of that, for the full season, Redwing42's Team face a fairly balanced path that rates as the 13th hardest.
  • With an average of 4.2 years of NFL experience, ranking in the middle of the pack for the league, Redwing42's Team have compiled a fairly balanced roster. They selected one rookie (Trey Lance). In total, there were 25 rookies selected over the course of the Pit League 1 draft.
  • In spite of unfilled positions at QB and TE in the 3rd round, Redwing42's Team selected WR Cooper Kupp with the 43rd pick, filling the WR/RB/TE flex position rather than a position of higher importance. They were the fourth squad to make their first flex pick.
Gooner Analysis
Another fuck you given by Yahoo that feels undeserved. Kamara/Lockett/Kupp form a high-floor backbone to this team that should produce weekly. Joe Burrow was excellent pre-injury last season and with even more weapons added, if he stays healthy he will be a force this season. Melvin Gordon likely won't be the starter in Denver for long, but should be able to give enough early in the season to make his pick worthwhile. And even though Eric Ebron is likely not a TE1 caliber player, redwing's selection of Cole Kmet gives him another TE that has the potential for a breakout season in 2021. I do have to point out that redwing drafted a player who is not currently on an NFL roster and that is likely somewhat why Yahoo was an ass in grading him, but Latavius Murray should be picked up by someone before too long and could have a fantasy role to play this season depending on where he ends up.

Yahoo Analysis
Draft Summary
Team Ph couldn't take advantage of the No. 7 overall pick, drafting a roster that will struggle to earn wins. Opponents could enjoy overwhelming them on a weekly basis, as this team is projected to finish 20th in Pit League 1. Team Ph are looking at a record of 1-13 (1,417 points).

Most Likely to Improve: D'Andre Swift
The RB is prepared to demonstrate the most improvement over last year of all the offensive players selected by Team Ph. Coming off a rookie season in which he rushed for 521 yards and 8 TDs and recorded 46 catches for 357 yards and 2 TDs in 13 games, totaling 167 fantasy points, Swift is projected to score 237 fantasy points with the Lions, a 42% gain. That makes him a valuable No. 2 RB for this squad.

Stretch Pick: DeVonta Smith
We'll give you some credit and assume you stepped away right before the selection of Smith in the 5th round, about 25 spots earlier than his ADP of 112. Smith is projected to score 168 fantasy points this season with the Eagles. Smith will slot in as the No. 3 WR for Team Ph, according to projected points.

Draft Notes
  • Better late than never. You were the last manager in the league to draft a quarterback and wide receiver with Zach Wilson (No. 154 overall) and JuJu Smith-Schuster (No. 74 overall).
  • With a second-half strength of schedule rated as the 3rd-most difficult according to projected records, Team Ph have one of the most daunting schedules in the late stages in Pit League 1. Even so, for the season as a whole, Team Ph should expect a pretty fair schedule that ranks as the 12th toughest.
  • With the youngest group in the league at an average of 2.5 years of NFL experience, Team Ph appear to be trying to catch lightning in a bottle. Driving home that point, they selected three rookies (DeVonta Smith, Zach Wilson, and Amon-Ra St. Brown), the highest total of first-year players in the league. In total, there were 25 rookies selected over the course of the Pit League 1 draft.
  • Even with offensive openings at QB, WR, and TE in the 2nd round, Team Ph drafted RB D'Andre Swift at No. 34, filling the WR/RB/TE flex position at the expense of a position of greater importance. They were the second squad to make their first flex pick.
Gooner Analysis
D- is too low, but not by a whole lot in my estimation. Ph opened his draft with three straight RBs, the only person to take three RBs in the first 4 rounds. And while Aaron Jones is a stud RB1, there are question marks surrounding both D'Andre Swift and Josh Jacobs that call into question why WR wasn't a bigger priority in the early rounds. Ph tried to make up for the lack of pass catchers over the next four rounds, but is banking on bounce back years from JuJu and Hollywood Brown as well as a stud rookie year from Heisman winner DeVonta Smith to carry the receiving load. The delay in WR ultimately forced a delay in drafting a QB and Ph was the last to draft one, grabbing rookie Zach Wilson in Round 8. It's possible that Ph's RB-heavy strategy could bear fruits as injuries happen. But the draft strategy feels like one from yesteryear when RBs touched the ball 30 times a game. I will be watching Ph's season with a close eye.

That was a fun exercise. I welcome anyone and everyone to hold my words against me throughout the season.
