Florida State at Wake Forest, 3:30 Saturday on ESPN

Good find. Clawson DID hide stuff the first two games (and, it sounds like, the first two decades of his coaching career).

That’s good stuff. Have we ever had an OC take questions from the media? I don’t remember.

Warchant YouTube is good for a few laughs at their sadness. I got a kick out of the postgame especially this.

I mean ... Wake has been playing more man coverage all season. That their OC figured they'd play more zone because of the elevated talent level is on him more than it's credit to *Hemphill and Cohen*.

Maybe Wake's defensive coaches are better at evaluating talent levels on both teams than the FSU coaches. Maybe the evaluation was that Wake's DB's are better than FSU wide receivers.

I liked where the guy on the right said Wake had better linemen and the other guy said "well at least offensive linemen." I agree with the first guy, we were better on both sides of the ball.

We were better than FSU in every aspect of the game. We had our way with them. One of their TD's was a gift made possible by 30 yards of penalties on the drive.

I did miss on my prediction that I thought FSU would out-talent/speed us and that would lead to a W for them. But as evidenced by the guy who posted the ESPN prognosticators picks (100% FSU), I was in good company. The only place speed showed up was when our receivers would catch the ball in-stride and be caught from behind.

Some had speculated that our O hadn't really revealed itself in the first 2 games. I think it was the D, though. Hard to believe Norfolk and ODU had offenses comparable to FSU. The key seemed to be what the FSU OC pointed out; we played a different D (Straight Up Man vs Soft Cover 2)

I think we can win at UVa but I've pointed out Armstrong since last year. Gotta keep his productivity within reasonable yardage, comp %, and TDs in order to win.

Although i was elated with our FSU win, it didn't impress prognosticators for this week.

For those who desire some positive vibes from me, I'm really looking forward to b-ball and Forbes. I think he has done an amazing job with the talent he has assembled for this year and you guys will be pleased at how we look on the court. We didnt win much different compared to Manning in numbers, but the difference in effort and attitude was evident. A winning season isn't out of the picture, IMHO.

I genuinely laughed out loud and stopped reading right here, so thanks for that I guess

The only people dumber than these guys are the ones who lend any credence to what they say.

Not you 80 (presuming you may have actually watched the FSU game), but this assemblage of clown shoes internet prognosticators.

Their logic is probably: Wake beat FSU, so FSU must be terrible, therefore Wake is just better than terrible, UVA wins.

I love that one of the 3 prognosticators that picked us is literally a chicken.

I get that many of us older Deacs tend toward pessimism/smoke and mirrors explanations for wins, but this take is bad if you watched the game.

First - Wake rarely (I want to say never, but I’m sure we have at some point) plays s cover 2 - were normally in cover 3 or quarters. However, the FSU OC just sucks at his job as we’ve run man free a lot this season and he didn’t pick up on it.

But more so, our guys just flat out outplayed FSU. It wasn’t some rag/tag Little Giants team out there. FSU was out coached, out-muscled, and out-skilled.
