That’s insane
Yes. I think K was getting 8 or 9 but it's still ridiculous for a first time coach.
That’s insane
I thought I heard Scheyer was supposed to get around $7M/year
Wilson joined Cornell’s football staff in August 2021 as outside linebackers coach.
Wilson played collegiate football at Arizona Western College and Saginaw State Valley University. He played multiple positions as a tight end, outside linebacker and defensive end. After a foot injury ended his playing career, Wilson transferred to the University of Toledo and earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice in 2018.
Wilson coached cornerbacks and also served as academic coordinator at Carroll University during the 2021 spring season. Later that spring, he was named defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach at the Peddie School (Hightstown, N.J.) before landing his current position at Cornell.
Wilson was defensive line coach and assistant academic coordinator at East Coast Prep (Great Barrington, Mass.) in 2019. He coached defensive line at Saint Patrick High School (Chicago) in 2020.
As a prep athlete, Wilson attended perennial Illinois football powers Mount Carmel (12-time state champion), Downers Grove (1-time state champion) and Wheaton Warrenville South (7-time state champion). He played on the 2011 state runner-up team at Wheaton Warrenville South and graduated from there in 2013. [/QUOTE}

Young and hungry. I like it.
Thinking Duke would fall off is funny
Does this fill our open coaching spot? re: number allowed?
Hell, I thought Dukes basketball recruiting was going to fall off a cliff after Jeff Capel went to Pitt, but Scheyer became the main recruiting assistant after he left and Duke’s recruiting improved. K has been rumored to leave for the last 5 years basically and Duke still gets literally whoever they want.

I guess Recruiting Staff means something other than Coaching Staff. It would make zero sense to hire this guy as a defensive coach with his experience. It would also indicate that we are elevating from within and using him to fill a spot vacated due to elevation, which also makes no sense.
why did he go to three high schools??
this position is basically an internship. if he does well he could get promoted to grad assistant.
